Why are certain players eating ammo packs since the update?

I can’t put my finger on it but I’m guessing it has something to do with an augment modification (was there any?)

Since the update certain players are just eating ammo packs non stop.

Usually you can give someone an ammo pack, and if you throw another one at them it just goes through them as their ammo is now full, but lately there are certain players you can throw 5 ammo packs at even if their ammo is full, and they pick them all up in one hit. You get all the XP for it too.

Direct hits with Ammo packs reduce the cooldowns of the hit player. As long as that player has cooldowns, you are able to eat ammo packs via direct-hits regardless of the ammunition.

For example, it is not a bad idea to throw 5 packs into a Skyhammer on Chapel’s defense as you will reduce the Airstrike cooldown by several seconds.

Btw, it has always been like this.

Wait what. I never knew this and I have seriously never noticed this before. I use Arty pretty much 90% of the time too

So each direct hit takes time off the cooldown? I seriously had no idea. By how much?

Actually no that can’t be right though. Because the game I had it happen on, it was off our first spawn as the game started that a Skyhammer ate 4 of my packs. The game had literally just started, he wouldn’t have had any cool downs because he hadn’t had a chance to use his airstrike yet?

I assume it is very, very likely that he threw at least one ammo pack at the start, thus he had a cooldown.

The cooldown reduction per direct-hit ammo pack is 15% according to some wikis, but I have no idea if that amount is still correct.
