Who's got hype for Overwatch?

Sometime during 2016, Blizzard Entertainment will release their first FPS game, “Overwatch”, however, you can sign up for closed beta right now. Overwatch has been the subject of intense speculation since it’s announcement and should be seen as serious competition in the FPS market.

Just in case you didn’t previously know what Overwatch is, I have included both the Cinematic and Gameplay trailer.

So with all the promise that Overwatch entails, what will SD do to keep DB alive against such a tough competitor?

You bet yo ass I’m hyped. I haven’t played yet so I don’t really know who will I choose but since I used to love TF2 this game seems like it is just amazing.

Same here! Doesn’t Overwatch just look spectacular - I mean look at those visuals!

I want to like it, don’t get me wrong, but the gameplay just straight up doesn’t interest me, it looks gimmicky and visually cluttered. Something you’d play if you didn’t want to think while doing so. The mix of FPS and MOBA, as it seems to be, is interesting but what Overwatch became is disappointing.

The characters don’t seem to have anything to do with each other for the most part either - you have robots, some bowman, a gorilla, and then the awful, awful design that is Widowmaker and Reaper. Nothing seems to mesh well outside of the angelic/paladin-esque characters, which are about the only designs I can say I like.

It all just puts me off, I usually love trying out new things but every single thing I’ve seen from this game has just driven me further and further from it right from the get go with the intro movie, complete with that horrible British imitation accent and “Not Important with a Mask”.

@LifeupOmega I can respect that opinion if it’s just based on what we’ve seen from footage but the odds are that you haven’t tried it yet, it hasn’t even gone into Closed Beta. If you give it a chance you might actually like it.

I agree with you on the accents part though, they are awful.
