Who would be opposed to this?

I have a suggestion.
It is something that I believe no one would be opposed to and that would not be difficult to implement inside another update.

After watching some scrims between teams I enjoy watching, I have found that jumping between people inside of the spectating system is frustrating and confusing at the least. After some thought into a way that this could be improved,

I believe I could offer some suggestion upon how to improve it.
They are as follows:
Hotkeys.
You have already numbered each of the people inside both teams, so why not bind keys to said player. In the interest of ease of use, you could bind attacking team player 1 to numpad key 1, and defending team player number 1 to Shift + numpad key 1, with the same going for the rest of the players in the team.

Since I do not know what anyone else has to say about this, I would like to see what the community thinks of this, and if it could perhaps become a thing.

Anyways, I guess I shall see you around the servers, and I will spot you a revive or too.

Sounds like a good QoL thing but only if it doesn’t screw with your binds (got most of my movement stuff on the numpad) and it doesn’t eat up valuable DEV time.

i don’t understand what you want that’s any different from the current setup

Currently it is setup so that when spectating you left or right click to change which person you are spectating, but this method only goes one of two ways and it requires you to go through the entire list of people sometimes before you can find the person you are looking for. This means that you may miss some of the action, perhaps even the entirety of the action on the person you want to be spectating.

Oh? Movement stuff, like long jumping binds or… I’m not sure what you mean, but I would hope it would only affect you when you are in spectate mode, meaning that none of you in game bindings for your movement stuff should be affected. Also I would hope it wouldn’t be too intensive on the developer’s to ask such a thing, considering that they themselves use the spectate mode (I would assume) it almost surprise’s me they haven’t implemented something along these lines already… Perhaps they have, and I don’t know about it or they don’t want to share it, but I would certainly find it very convenient.

Anyways, thanks to all those replying on topic so far, I’m really keen on this becoming a thing…

Uhhh, your suggestion is already implemented.

Try number keys 1-8(depending on match size) and then Shift+1-8… Might be CTRL instead, but I am fairly sure it is Shift.

Either way, I know this already exists.

Ahahaha, oh alright then.
Good to see that the dev’s are onto it somewhat. Yeh its not the numpad keys so I was close to being on the right track.
Yeh so for anyone who is interested it turned out they have already implemented this, only instead of it being the numpad its the numbers along the top, and as Ardez suggested, the ctrl key. I shall take my leave and bathe in my insolence.
Thanks for the nudge in the right direction.
