Who uses the Light/Dark variation of Mercs to distinguish teams?

(PixelTwitch) #1

Just for anyone that did not know/remember the teams are separated into LIGHT and DARK variations.

Example…

Basically, I feel these skins limit creativity while not working at all for team identification. I feel these skins could be added to a larger Merc skin pool to increase number of selectable skins…
Also, some dark variations are ugly as all hell compared to the light variations and visa versa. With the current implementation you need to accept you have an ugly skin half of the time…

If you guys have been using these skins to distinguish teams then my logic is completely off and they should stay as they are

I thought nader to be pretty, not ugly.

I try to, as that’s the entire point of them, but it’s damn hard, I hope they improve the skin identifiability aspect, voted yes though.

I’d like to see the IFF’s disabled completely when the team skins are ready for testing again.

As one of the few who actually used skin colors to differentiate the teams, I really don’t like the change that was made in the last patch whereby defenders are now always dark and attackers always light. It’s confusing if you got used to the old scheme were friendlies were dark and enemies light, but it also means that defenders are that much harder to spot when sitting in dark spots.

The previous scheme was more neutral since everybody showed up as light-colored for the opposition, so there wasn’t any advantages to either side.
