Who is human who is not! FRUSTRATING 360

(oO Para oo) #1

Its so bloody frustrating having to check the scoreboard all the time for who is AI and who is human, change the bloody colours so it is easy to tell. And why do I vote for a map then next round I am the only player in the game, this games shortcomings are starting to head towards the trade bin.

Auto balance my arse.

Splash respond to the community or your game is a dead duck…

And sort the bloody frame rate out on 360

Hope they don’t forget about us 360 players… :frowning:

I haven’t found it too difficult. If the IGN seems like a last name, its probably a bot, since they are all named after SD members. Would have been cooler IMO to use all the in-game names of the dev team though.

(Bakercompany) #4

Its pretty easy to tell from the behavior difference alone. Plus when you kill them you can distinguish a gamertag from a Brink generated name =)

Also i’ve had no frame rate issues. Make sure you install your game on the 360. I haven’t had a single glitch, hiccup, or frame drop it runs perfect.

(Shotgun Surgeon) #5

Usually when there’s a guy named Rick and another guy named I_****ed_Your_Mom 69, it’s obvious which one is the human.

(Bakercompany) #6

Exactly that. Numbers are a dead give away =)

Currently the bots behave a certain way, players have much better reactions.

(De|f|c) #7

On the PC, bots have no ping next to their name on the scoreboard, or a little cartoon icon of a person. Does the 360 not have this?

(Bakercompany) #8

Yup it sure does. Forgot to even mention that. Bots don’t have the colored bar next to their names indicating their ping. Dead giveaway.

(Nail) #9

the bots are the guys playing properly

lol, had to say it one more time

(IG THOMBOW) #10

oh please. what’s your reason to think that?

(NullEleven) #11

You probably just haven’t noticed, the 360 can’t run half of the games that come out for it without frame loss.

Just thought i would bold the very first thing he said for the people who are telling him about ping indicators.

(DeadEye) #13

Really? Really? Dumb thread is dumb. This is complaining just to complain, if you’re dumb enough to not be able to tell the difference between a bot name and a gamertag… you’re too slow to play Brink anyway.

(oO Para oo) #14

Deadeye shut up. I don’t want to play with ai as it is, human players should have different colour tags. Why is it so dam hard to play an 8v8 human game can somebody tell me how to find one??

(KAS--Will) #15

Lol, Ima brag real quick, but the auto balance only exists when I’m in the game. I usually join the losing team before a loss and bring them back, and find out that the losing team was to busy trying to kill, and not even bothering with the objectives… XD

And the frame rate is God awful, always shoot for 60…

(Oschino1907) #16

Sometimes i wonder where the humans are at all. On Ps3 i will get in games during peak hours with a few per side sometimes almost full human teams without having to invite more then 1-2 friends but during off peak hours i can join levels for hours and not find another human player, makes it pointless to play half the time.

We def need either some kind of lobby system even if its just an open waiting place to find others or a quick play to join populated matches. Something else that may help is neutral game modes with both teams attacking/defending.

(oO Para oo) #17

I have found if you play ‘competition’ it’s humans only but only 4v4

(pikasecks) #18

when i see bots on pc, i think all of them are wearing identical costumes, so they are easy to spot ?

It’s easy: bots have last names/single names and real players have their connection pings lit up green or red depending on connection status. BOTS have no ping-only a figure symbol where the ping would be if a real player.

Map voting: maybe you were the only player on the map; maybe others backed out-maybe you were sent to the map of your preference per your vote-this is the only shooter on consoles which merges single, cooperative and versus gameplay in this way. There are bound to times when one enters a match “alone.” This will change as we become more familiar with its structure.

Maybe the older models. The only game i’ve had even slightly drop frames at any time was Fallout: New Vegas. And I can understand why given the draw distance. Then I installed it and rarely encountered a frame drop.

Brink, COD’s, Borderlands, all Halos, MvC3, Transformers:WFC, Fallout 3, Fallout NV, Oblivion, Bioshock. All games I’ve played that haven’t had a single frame issue. And i’m not even thinking of all of them.
