Who cares about tournaments, open the stats.

The reason for a tournament is to compare players’ performance. Unfortunately, it seems that its almost as popular to argue about tournament rules as it is to play in a tournament.

I am looking for people that I would be competitive with. Not for people I beat 90% of the time or for people that beat me 90% of the time. I know where I rank against the people I’ve played. I could use the additional info to seek out players with similar records.

I think it would it would encourage players to challenge “unknowns” if the results of all matches were published on a website. Start with a simple query on a single player to see their entire list of opponents and win/loss record against each. Have stats roll off after a month to keep it current.

I know that there are shy people out there. Would publishing the records cause problems for anybody?

I cant see the problem. But it seems that some players are more introvert.

The real problem is that RAD are missing the ingame function. If there were a ingame function you could possibly choose “practice” or “rank mode”.
There could be ladder ranking - tournament - league and so on.

I made a poor attempt to start a league system but the timing was terrible and it also had a loss of players after some rounds.
The discussion about rules will be going on as long as there is no established way of ranking us.

Maybe I lost the question, what was it …
Sorry, No for me it wouldn’t be problem!

And for the RAD game I think it needs to be done, its an awesome game for us that likes turn-based strategics! To get more players it needs a competitive edge, the only official ranking now is the “players vs computer” scores (which say nothing about skills…)

After we progressed a bit in the RAD World Cup I’ll present a RAD ladder

I wished under friends list (the one where add contacts) in the box with avatar and name you add the number of games played, won, lost or even an average to opponants. Total creds/experience?
or
When you get to level 40 and beyond the total experience dosnt really tell you much about where you are against others, (and barely can read exp for each toon- no totals in barracks once rank is used up)
knowing how many games played with win or loss, or even a ratio of kills or casualties and average could determine how a player is doing-and with Jerry rigs idea listed top ten players on website.

Stats would be a welcome addition to the game. If you wanted to be lazy, you could stick in the ratings formula for chess and everyone would simply have a number that would go up or down as they won or lost.

If you want the one way you can see a numberical difference between two top players NOW it is described in the thread “Brag your Rad”
