Which Squad location do you like?

Based on the pictures are the two options
Option A, Current layout -

Option B, Extraction layout -

Since it doesn’t cover up the whole screen (exaggeration) and I don’t look at it most of the time.

Depending on what I play, I feel like Option B could be more useful.

If I am playing medic, Option A is probably better.

But Option B has the added advantage of seeing enemy health bars :stuck_out_tongue:

(SereneFlight) #4

A for me since I’m playing medic most of the time.

(Ghosthree3) #5

A because I’ll never notice B rendering it useless. Might as well be a vote between keeping it or removing it.

Option A is a lot more noticeable to me, personally. I like the idea of option B but I’m not sure it really works too well in an FPS - it seems more like a MOBA UI layout.

One thing that could be improved with the current one however though is simply allowing the option in-game to move UI components around, because like many people I’ve opted for a custom made one, due to the fact that my screen is kinda large, and the last thing I want to do is take my eyes off my crosshair to look in the bottom left or right of my screen to keep an eye on health/ammo in an intense fire-fight.

I guess we’ll see what they have in store for us… :stuck_out_tongue:

Option A works perfectly fine for me, I just wish there was more information to go along with it, for instance if it would also display a player’s current ammo situation making it easier to Fire Support classes to prioritize who to give ammo to and when. This could be done by a percentage next to an ammo icon… roughly put like this: [iiii] 60%

Considering the 19:9 aspect most people use. Option A saves valuable vertical screenspace, additional it makes the healthbars of your teammates more visible especially with the increasing and decreasing of the bar drawing better attention towards itself compared to option B.

On a sidenote option B. gives you too much information about the enemy team, making it harder for sneaking tactics or changeups in the merc composition to affect the match.

Also having the enemy team right there means tabbing becomes even more meaningless.

I like the centered timers in B. better tho having it in the far left corner is pretty bad for such an important thing.

(Ghosthree3) #9

I assumed B wasn’t really going to show enemy health.

(SaulWolfden) #10

A, especially when I’m a medic, easier to see how my team overall is doing health wise.

(Faraleth) #11

+1 to @SaulWolfden - option A is SO much easier to keep track of team-mates HP and status as a medic, as opposed to B. >.<

(DMaster2) #12

I personally prefer B

It only shows health in TDM.

So that is old Team Deathmatch on picture? I was confused what are those 0:0 there…
Now that explains it

Also this guy has both med pack and defib on Q … Genius, revivng team and giving them health in same time…

(YeOldeButtcheek) #16

Don’t quote me on this but I think clicking Q would give medpacks, and holding Q would revive.
Also, later in the video I got a glimpse how the map was made smaller.
