Which merc will be released next?

(Amerika) #21

I think it will be Fletcher but I honestly don’t want him in the game for a good long while. We don’t need more spam. Rhino would be awesome and I’d also like to see Redeye.

So far we only have 1 sniper (Vassili) and he is so boring and don’t have funny taunts :stuck_out_tongue:

Abbadon
Abaddon
no funny taunts?

‘im like an aimbot…but in real life’
2005 just called me and it wants its jokes back.

don’t know the reference sorry.

In any case, just because a joke is old doesn’t mean its bad. I know great jokes from 19th century. Don’t get this obsession with NEW-NEW-NEW :dizzy:

(Reddeadcap) #24

I’m definitely betting on it being Red-eye based on how drastically he is different to Vasilli, next Stoker once again, how conveniently his stations are and how big of a game changer his molotovs would be when it comes to area denial, next Fletcher since he is a straight up fighter compared to the other two engineers relying on deployable abilities or maybe Thunder since they’ve released a weapon based assault already and save up Kira, Sparks, Rhino and Aimee for last.

(yakcyll) #25

I’m all for engineers, so I’d love to see Fletcher next, but it most likely will be a Recon, since there’s only one in game right now.

(Parmenion) #26

I hope red eye but i think it will be Stoker

(Milky Mac) #27

If its not red-eye i will be very disspointed for all those saying stoker we already have 2 ammo classes AND ammo crates around. We already have 2 medics, 2 ammo, 2 engis, 2 assualt so the only logical choice would be aiime or red-eye. And lets be honest red-eye is the dopest class in the game those smokes are NECESSARY for comp play.

Ever play cs:go? Proper smoke and flash placement/timing makes or breaks the match.

(Ribero) #28

Stoker is probably the most requested merc by the community.

So I’m guessing it won’t be him. Kappa.

If you look red-eye outvoted stoker, and i really hopes its not him he doesnt bring ANYthing new. Mollies are only a slight AOD but we have nader for that now.

This forum is a small sample size, but I guess I could only provide anecdotal evidence as a retort anyway. So nevermind.

Even so, lets say the players slightly wanted stoker more, so what we need red-eye for comp especially with execution mode comming out. Red-eye brings something to the table that NO other merc does. COVER and flankability/ the ability to rotate.

The point was “Stoker is probably the most requested merc by the community.”, with your retort being that Red eye is most requested.

I didn’t think we were discussing which is needed more (Because initially, we weren’t.)

(DomMafia) #33

Weird, I don’t remember deadeye ever being liked lol

ehm, the smoke isnt so reliable for that. It can be blown away by any explosive, so in comp its gonna get destroyed, and Redeye doesn’t bring enough to the table combat wise.
Smoke will provide cover/flankability/ability to rotate, but only for a handful of seconds before the enemy deals with it. So its not quite as game-changing as a good smoke in CS which can completely shutdown a push

disclaimer: I’m basing this on my experience with RedEye January build, he could very well be changed to fit the role you describe better.

His ability is best used as an ambush strategy, thrown on a flank and engaging people through the smoke is an always-available crossfire angle, you can also throw it at chokes to slow people down. Finally, you can use it to counter enemy snipers, by concealing yourself in the cloud of smoke, and spamming from a distance.

(GildedDark) #35

I chose Fletcher but I’d much prefer Aimee

(smartIsland) #36

does phoenix have all smgs?

(hotpinkReel) #37
My money would be on Fletcher or Stoker. Fletcher’s already been hinted at, and Stoker seems to be the most requested.

I notice nobody wants Sparks. I guess I understand - the two medics currently in are quite good. I’d love to play a medic more often, but Aura and Sawbonez just aren’t that fun to me.
I really hope Stoker is next. My lord, I can’t count the times I’ve died because I’ve just plain run out of ammo. The ability to set an ammo regen field down is grossly needed.

I also understand that Sparks had a healing gun. I think that could help resolve some of the balance issues with Aura. Lower the health regen rate on Aura’s deployable and decrease the cool down, the idea being that she’d set it down just behind the front lines, so people can fall back to it. Aura would then move to the front and focus on rezzing people (takes advantage of her speed), while Sparks would focus on keeping them up.

as far as I know Sparks gun is a rezzing gun, and her healing is done via a small health pack.

Also, Aura’s HP station is fine atm, station’s lack of mobility now opens her up to AoE counters.

(CASIZBEAST) #39

Well im hoping for Stoker as he has great competitive potential!

(Eox) #40

Voted Fletcher. But secretly I wish it was Red eye.
