Which merc is going to get released next? (Say your opinion)

(TheOrangePhantome) #1

So as we all know the next update will have a SH*T load of content and it’s confirmed that there’ll be a merc coming with that update. So i wanna know who do you guys think it’s gonna be.

(TheOrangePhantome) #2

Also after the fine tuning update there was a pic of a loud out card with stoker on it which was found with in the game files. A possible hint?
We’ll see.

Stoker is almost for sure coming out next, but Thunder seems to be the least wanted merc to be released according to the DB Wiki polls. So they’re probably just gonna throw him out there with Stoker just to get it over with.
Though from what I’ve heard a recent stream may have confirmed Turtle to be the next merc released. I still have yet to watch the stream to “confirm”

(SirMurder) #4

Noooo i want Aimee!!!

(DMaster2) #5

Stoker is almost guaranteed

  1. Stoker has been hinted at for quite some time. I think Thunder has been mentioned in passing.
  2. Turtle was the other merc they’ve been hinting at. Why not include him on this list? There is also Aimee though there is a good chance she’ll be last of the old mercs to be re-released.
  3. Thunder is Skyhammers dad how? Skyhammer has an airstrike, ammo packs, and uses strictly assault rifles. That is no commonality there. Or did you mean Fragger’s dad? In which case…pretty sure Fragger is older (also, considering their origins they’re closer to brothers).
  4. That shitload of content isn’t going to be an extra merc. It’s going to be Execution (probably), Dome (most likely), Dockyard (I hope, but unlikely), and one of the four remaining Mercs.

All of them.

(Mr-Penguin) #8

Hype. So much hype.

(Jesus) #9

Yeah. Me too as a french its almost national duty to have her i just cant wait to play her and here that awful accent of our

(watsyurdeal) #10

I was wanting Stoker…but now I really want Thunder, I think assault classes are my favorite with the exception of Rhino.

(gg2ez) #11

I hunger for Thunder.

Edit: You know what? That sounds kind of wierd.

Rephrase: Thunder is my most anticipated merc.

(Bojangles) #12

I vote Turtle! Only because it’s the American dream to want something so hard that it becomes a reality.

(GottaBeGreg) #13

I can wait for Thunder. No, thats not a typo. I can wait. We don’t need another LMG totting, M4 rocking and Timik/ Br 16 mocking health tank with annoying as hell nades and a boring playstyle. One Fragger was enough, now we get a second, only he gets MORE health, and slightly less nukey mini Nukes. I dislike flashbangs in any game, and Splash deciding to bring them back from the dead makes me somewhat sad.

(Grave_Knight) #14

For a moment there I thought you were going to say “Because it’s the American dream to be a cyborg.”

(Bojangles) #15

American military dream to have cyborgs lol

(Grave_Knight) #16

Eh. Not really. Military is more interested in powered armor. Why implant all those neat toys when you can just wear them on a suit of armor?

Also, robots. Why bother risking human life when you can send robots?

Robots do not possess a trait necessary to replace humans in combat. That trait is brutality.

Who needs brutality when you have cold logical efficiency and almost horror movie like resilience? Even a battle harden soldier is probably going to freeze up after being hit by a shotgun blast, a robot would just keep going.

Robots do not need brutality, they have cold, meticulous efficiency, lacking any moral fibre at all. If anything, robots are MORE suited to combat.

How else would we get such classic lines in movies like in Full Metal Jacket?
“How can you shoot women and children?”
“Easy! You just don’t lead them as much. Aint war hell?”

With robots you have to program Arnold Swchwarzenegger style one liners, or have writers come up with morbid lines for them. Last thing I want is a robot written with lines by Seth MacFarlane
