Hi there guys, been rocking the Medium AR/SMG combo a lot lately and thought I might try the heavy, just wanted to know which heavy machine gun you guys thought was the best and what is a decent back up weapon for it.
Also any tips on what ranges to operate at or how to position myself would be great.
For the LMG’s, I like the Maximus. It’s seems more accurate and the Chinzor kicks like a mule. Burst fire seems to work best for the LMG’s, but the minigun can be effective full-auto, which is a reason I like it (I despise burst fire) My favorite setup right now is the Gotlung and the Lobster.
I like the way the minigun is like the hyperblaster, you can keep tapping the button to keep it spinning so you have minimal time to start shooting.
The Maximus has some really weird and strong kicks into a random direct when you fire more than two shots a second. No slow build up of recoil, no, just wham, different direction even WITH muzzlebrakes.
That said, it’s still the best heavy gun out there.
Or you just toggle the spin with your left mouse button.
I prefer the Chinzor, myself.
Not sure why. It just… works better in my hands.
Don’t go Heavy too often though - I could never give up my mobility as a light.

I tried to equip the lobster as my secondary before but it didn’t let me, seems wierd is there a special way to go about it?
