Which is easier to make killing floor like mod, SP or MP?

Hi.
I’m a fan of killing floor.
One day I thought why didn’t quake engine based games have such a good game.
And what is the easiest approach to make one if it’s possible.

I hit on one game, that is, RTCW.
Becase it has already various unique zombies in SP mode and enough perks in MP mode.
So I just registered here.

Here is my question:
Is it possible to make a coop game with wolfsp.exe?
Or wolfmp.exe does it better?

Plus I’m searching for a skilled coder to make this project come true ASAP.
Of course I also do a lot of hard works as a project leader.

I’m pretty new to mapping, but I agree with you that the zombies are unique. I just finished a castle map with zombies in it.

I would help you, but I haven’t learned enough to go as far as coding. Maybe someone else here could help you.

I dunno coding at all,but I think SP must have no netcode and MP must have no AI code.
I think wolfmp.exe would make it better but I don’t know a thing about coding…^^

If I remember Doom3 has a co-op mode(or only on xbox I don’t remember), it has loads of zombies, gore effects and such also.
And it’s multiplayer is limited to 4 players anyway.
Also the game is recent 3d software compatible for player models(if you wish to make some),while rtcw requires to have some old 3dsmax4 or 5!
Well you could do mods on any of them, but I think doing it for doom3 would be easier, while doing it for rtcw(or ET! :D) would have more players to play it.

With 3d max 4, 5 not the problem, at me is. mds models do not want to be exported.

Let me play your map if you don’t mind taking the trouble to upload it.

@BackSnip3
D3 is not included in my option because it does not run on my PC.
On top of that I want incredible amount of zombies  to spawn at the same time, which should be done on light-weight engines.

@a13xoloid: Look in the topic “Olivet Castle ready for testing”. The first post has the link to download it.
Be aware that it is quite buggy. The latest version with a low amount of bugs hasn’t been put on filefront yet.

I’ll see if I can feedback something. :penguin:
