Which graphics card are you using?

Performance is always limited by the slowest element. To achieve good performance you need to have elements in your pc that approximately run at the same level and for your config the CPU is limiting the GPU. For how long have you been running with this CPU ?

Don’t hesitate to ask if you need advice on hardware, you’re in the right place to ask

I have had the PC for 1 year this month. Thanks

Wild guess: having 6 cores is the problem. I don’t think the UE3 is scalable enough to take advantage of 6 cores. Scalability in distributed systems mean that if you add more cores, then your program should perform faster without modifying the code. Also having more cores usually means each core is slower but makes up for performance by running programs on more cores in parallel.

So your CPU is good, just not for gaming imo.

There is an option so you can limit the cores xT should use, maybe that helps. I had massive problems with my 3 core AMD before i switched to Intel.
Try 2 or 4 cores.

Don’t think it will change anything. I guess that more than 4 cores are not used anyway. If you want to try it, go in the process manager, find the process of XT, right click -> set affinity.

I hope that gfx overhaul hits before OBT tho. #prayers

Just updated to the new ATI drivers 14.4 and got a nice performance boost. Recommend trying them out if your not already on em.

(Wezelkrozum) #48

I’m going to install them then. Letting you know what I think

Is that the Gigabyte one? I’ve been eyeing up a some 770s

(Rex) #51

2x GTX780 -> 120-350fps but average value is around 120-240fps depending on the map and location.

(Ceres) #52

GTX780 3GB here. Around 100~ fps I would say but there are massive fps spikes all the time.

(Ashog) #53

LOL

and that after you were convincing me not to buy even one gtx780

Can’t remember that I wouldn’t recommend this awesome card. So you probably talked with the wrong one…

(Mustang) #55

Indeed, especially with the price drop since 780Ti landed.

(Ashog) #56

That was before Ti
