Where can I publish and find new maps? (Web)

Hi!
I think www.rtcwfiles.com can host the file, so net surfers can download the map from there.
If you want the map to be on a server you must talk to the server admin, and hope that he or she can put it onto the game server. If it is a cool map, then someone will do it.
If you have lots of money you can rent a server from a commercial firm. Like barrys world :

But that is expensive.
I’m sure there are other things you can do. I just can’t think of anything more at the moment.

you can send a mail with the .pk3 to thanatos@di.clanhome.nl and then we will see if we can put your map on our download section on our website.

There is a nice big sticky thread at the top of the forums for people who want to test their maps with friendly admin/clan people.

I would recommend testing your map first before releasing it to the general public. Once fully tested and everyone happy, head over to http://www.rtcwfiles.com/ for a file hosting location.

Thanks, I will ofcourse not release it before it’s 100% finished. I’m testing it on my own server. It fills up with 20 players within 10 minutes, so testing is no problem.

if you want to find maps that aren’t released on websites go to www.metamule.com and you can filter searches by maps.

Would my connection by fast enough to host my own games, when I’ve got a map I want to test out? I’m on 576/288 Kbps ADSL.
