I have been searching for a while now on the internet for world war 2 era music which is uncopyrighted and public domain. After reading some legal issues I found that music before 1972 gets an automatic type of copyright that is not totally permitted or non-permitted. That being the case, I was wondering how some mappers like for the map Transmitter, or SupplyDepot, where they get there music from or how they attained permissions. Is there a list somewhere that shows era music that is fully open for public use and redistribution?
Where to find ww2 era music
You could try http://www.freesound.org/
I think maybe it’s a better idea to try and define the genre and look for similar music, then add some static.
Hi Sparky
http://soundbible.com/
http://soundjax.com
http://www.stockmusicsite.com - no idea if they’re still free.
dunno what kind you search - but such old style vocal music is availiable there:
but not all are as mp3 availiable
weird stuff :S
qualitiy is poor - old stuff
I took the first song from B list, I dunno what is sung, but I see it in a Axis General room, or a castle nor a basement, with the thing you have in Frostbite in Axis Spawn… Favorited link, was looking some time ago for some customs as well!
Note Supply uses Bethoveen if I’m not wrong… Copyrighted or not, there’s no censure stuff (yet) for it… But Castle Eltz has been.
Compose it by yourself. It’s cool. There is an app for ios/android that composes it on HD.
Stunning. No midi

Low quality is sometimes a feature
In games in W:ET; if you are planning to use the sounds as radio, a little ‘static’ and scrambe are way better then a high quality version imo
