That’s weird… I mean I swear anti posted an image showing that medic 01 was by far the most played character ( medic 01 27% , field ops 01 9%, and they are both select able). But the pictures you guys post only show fieldops (assault) playing.

Well what can I say. Did echo see this coming? I mean not that much changed if you look at the patch notes / character balance…

Characters
Players must now choose three characters to take into game
Only five characters are free for all players
Additional characters must be purchased with earned in-game coins, allowing us to do a basic test on character popularity
Updated all of the character avatars

Balance

Increased drain speed of Phantom’s Active Camo ability
Tweaked ironsight recoil for the majority of weapons
Increased head hitbox size by 10%
Increased headshot multiplier to 2.5x
Reduced body-shot damage on nearly all weapons
Increased clip sizes where needed
Players are no longer slowed when landing from a sprinting jump

Weird weird weird… Why did it happen? because I can’t see the explanation in the patch notes…

Anyway I hope they won’t nerf the fieldops (assault), but buff the other characters (from my memory I remember that they used the nerf tactic with Brink).

FOPS is not the problem. It’s the fact that every other class can’t kill efficiently. Keep the FOPS the same. Buff everything else. Conker is still solid atm.

IDK about everyone else, but the only reason I play fops so much is because it’s the only class I don’t have to worry about running out of ammo on.

I’ve seen every class top frag tbh. FOPS is meant for straight fragging, which is why I think most prefer it. It doesn’t suffer from any ability penalties, force you to play a specific style to be most efficient, nor does it have any real dependence on teammates. This patch I’d say it has the most effective weaponry in any situation also. Why play another class that takes so much more effort? That’s because most people in a pub only have fragging on their mind.

This. Not tried all the mercs, but the SMGs / MPs are very underpowered atm (Sawbonez, Bushwhacker etc.). Please don’t nerf the guns that work. I still don’t understand why Bushwhacker has effectively two secondary weapons (and no grenades), its not as if his turret is amazingly OP?

I personally enjoy Stoker because the gun is great to use, I never played the class much in ET / QW + molotovs :).

I wonder what´s the reason about crying about class balance in an FPS. There will allways be a class that is suited best for “sustained” fragging and there allways be at least 50% of them running arround on the map, in some cases even more, especially in times where everyone can do every objective. The current situation is much worse tho, then it would be with an medic (with a gun like fops), and objective classes. I think that it will get even worse, in case you buff EVERY other clas. Will we see oneshot weapons then? ^^
Seriously, I doubt that class balance, is the reason why so few people play the game.

agree, there is so many issues maps are the n1 issue, but when you have a full field ops team then the game become spam fest (airstrike/molotov/artillery) more spammy then previous build with nades … so i’m not really crying about Fops, I just really think there is one more broken stuff in this game.

They need to balance the TTK (Longer) on most guns and make the HS hit box smaller so you arent over run by snipers and shotguns.

It should take two hs to kill with a shotgun if they are going to be that strong and that fast. As a medic I had know chance. I think the shotgun should be looked at like the Rnade in ET… The maps are too small and the medic gun not powerful enough at mid range to kill a shot gunner before the run up on you. Plus with the maps so small and tight they are on you anyway.

Medic vs FO was pretty balance and only needs some small tweaks.

The game feels a lot like COD right now but with know movement and actually feels slower…

I miss my nades still…

I also still feel like I am correct with 1 hs kills with a sniper but right now the HS hitbox feels big and there’s no sway or nothing that makes the sniper more then point and click.

I also think FO/Soliders and Snipers should be 10% to 15% Slower then a Medic or shot gunner. Just throwing numbers out there but it should be slightly noticeable.

Dont hate I am just throwing Ideas out there…
