Where can I find free sounds?

Hi

I’m looking for a desert like enviromnental sound for my map The Dust. Are there any online resources that can offer this for free?

Or does anyone know of a way of making these?

Dude you have an original map copied from counter-strike. I think its against the EULA and no i dont know

Dude, I do not have the original counter-strike map. I’ve made it my self. The original map is named de_dust, not The Dust.

Oke then guys now we can make mc_beach and change it a bit, say that youve made it yourself and voila we got it uuh no but why don’t you just make your own map, instead of faking another?

I want that kind of a map in my favorite game. I don’t know what mc_beach is since I don’t have Wolfenstein, but if it is a good map someone should build a similar for Enemy Territory. Build from scrach and don’t steal textures/sound/text from the orignal and you should be on regal ground. At least in norway where I’m from.

I love counterstrike, but unfortunately it crashes on my computer.

I had been nice if the counter-strike developers had released their maps in Enemy Territory, but for that to happen they will probably want gold. Gold can only be found in goldrush, but it is garded by the axis.

Maybe they will release them in Half-life 2?

Hi!
i played your map (alpha stage, at the moment) yesterday, and it ok. I was impressed. Well done! Looking forward to next version.
I unzipped the pak0.pk3 file that was inside the etmain folder, and there was that Sound folder.
I think crickets are ok, for environmental sound. (cricket02, was the best, if i remember. cricket01 was too low).
Keep on mapping!

I would tell you to seek the help of detpak if and only if u think u could persuade him to do sounds for you… But usually in order for him to create custom sounds for a map, the map needs to be pretty ace. Anyways, just do a simple search on his name (detpak) and you’ll find his site in no-time.

man, how annoying it is only getting useless answers to a totally sensible question
try www.findsounds.com, the sounds are from different places on the net, dunno about the copyright of them, i wouldn’t mind too much.
