I couldn’t tell you, because the old general just dropped and I don’t have the archive link. But in my experience it’s sorta hard for the uninitiated to distinguish an actual prevalent opinion from one guy who’s mad and flaming.

I’m basing my “one guy who’s buttmad” analysis off your screenshot, which shows a bunch of normal banter and one guy who’s not replying to any previous posts making a little rage post and then nobody replying to it either.

Hating on anime and anime images in general is sort of a thing that happens a lot on 4chan. Don’t ask me to explain why, since the image board is literally founded on this gal:

Nobody takes it seriously, except the people who keep bringing it up.
Offical site rule is to keep board related content to these boards only. For example posting a MLP image outside of /mlp/ will get you banned for 24 hours. There is a board for anime, but posting anime images is widespread.
