When Proxy's mine is shot should it deal damage to her team?

With Proxy receiving buffs with just about every update in the last couple of months and Splash Damage unwilling to enable friendly fire on just a few servers. I think it would be a nice compromise to allow us to deal damage to players that stand near her mines.

Finding a match for competitive with my friends and I sometimes takes up to an hour or more and there are only so many private matches that we can set up with everyone’s schedules and time zones.

I will say that the change to the augment Bomb Squad is a fantastic one. Being able to instantly see a marked mine and grenades as soon as they leave the player’s hands is great.

I do. If you bothered to read my post it takes over an hour for us to find a match at our level.

If friendly fire is on then yeah I guess it should, but tbh Proxy is going to need some serious re-balancing if it’s ever permanently turned on. It will actually kind of render her mines useless in the most common areas of battle at the moment if they’re going to kill your own team mates as well.

I’d rather not injure my own teammates when trying to shoot a Proxy mine. Treat the explosion as if whoever shot it were the planter of the mine, and calculate friendly and enemy fire accordingly.

It already deals damage to your teammates when you shoot it. I’m talking about dealing damage to their team because right now friendly fire protects them when you shoot a proxy mine.

I can safely stand on your mine without worrying about it blowing up and killing me. This is always an issue when proximity weapons are in a game and friendly fire shields are active.

I say yes but I’m not sure. As a noob I didn’t realise they didn’t hurt friendlies, so would shoot them and expect enemies to die. Learnt that the hard way.

Do you people not read posts before you make your own? I already mentioned that I have to wait over an hour because there are barely any players in my rank bracket.

If you are gonna add friendly fire to Proxy’s mines you have to add it to ALL mercs abilities (Airstrikes, Artillery, Grenades, etc…) in which case they might as well just add a Hardcore mode with such a setting turned on.
