When new Patch???

So any news at all? Waiting forever for new patch and stuff… Not much activity here either… :frowning:

It would be nice to have an update. The blog post from 5th Feb did say “We’ve already released three updates, and we’re getting ready to invade a brand-new cultural capital with new maps, challenges, characters, weapons, and hundreds of tweaks and further balance improvements. We’ll have more information for you in a few days!” and it most definitely has been a few days! :smiley:

I know there is lots of testing going on (and that it to be applauded in this day and age) but can you guys maybe throw us a bone and tell us a little bit more about what we’ll see and when we might see it? Stir up a bit of excitement, get us all talking again!

They should give us two false and two true facts about the upcoming patch. But not say which is which. That’d generate discussion.
And of course it’s always fun to see people bitterly complain about unconfirmed changes.

Is the new patch going to fix all the DoT spam? It’s not even remotely fun to play vs Kate and the other dude because they just lob a nade hit 1 - 2 of your guys and sit back for 3 turns. I would like to see the game get a little more aggressive. Perhaps control the rocket for 3 turns instead of 5.

Also, I don’t see a way to cancel out of games that people aren’t playing. I random matched and 3 people haven’t taken their first turn in a week and now I can’t make anymore matches.

The original change list said that the radius of the poison and fire DoT grenades would be reduced (making it hard to hit as many toons unless they are really clumped together) and the damage from different DoTs would no longer stack (so you would only be suffering from one DoT at any given time). Some of the proposed changes may have been altered but no update has been posted so this is all we have atm.

Games should expire automatically after four days and drop off of your game queue. It’s painful but that’s just how it works at present.

I love this! Maybe I could message one of the devs and see if they bite!

I like the idea of a “Sit N’ Play” quick game of a 3-turn Hold match instead of 5.

Solid ideas guys, I will put this to the suggestion thread!

Thanks, I read that and thought those changes were already implemented. That would make sense why I was getting hit by the nades outside of a 3 box radius. So basically, don’t play 26 and stick with 14/20 team sizes until the patch comes out. :slight_smile:

Yeah but at least in 3v3 they can’t hit 2+ with a nade combo meal. It’s a lot more about positioning and bumping people out of position.

The new update is going to be pretty comprehensive (there’s a lot of new content in it) so it’s taking us a bit longer to get it ready for release. We hope to have a preview of it here on the site soon so you can get an idea of what to expect.

Well it isnt dull for me since its always a new book to challenge others out there. Its quite a lot of fun too to try to figure out what they are up to base on their movement, forming counter strategies and chuckle at their mistakes all the while learning a little something in every match. But i do hope that in the future updates i can see new toons and some rather weak midget toons being more useful in battle. Rather disappointing sometimes lol, met a rather rare twin Dee Hatlacker formation but he gave up before even putting up a fight…

Just pulled off a win at 26 points on Market with two Hatlackers (in a formation which will henceforth be known as a rather skinny 26DD :slight_smile: ). Opponent was a competent random level 40 with three snipers and Orbital Strike so it wasn’t a walk in the park.

Trying something different is good!
