so when is ranked coming back? i heard it was down coz season 2 just ended but does anyone know when s3 will be out?

It was removed so people could learn the 2 changes made to the maps, I’m sure the general population will get the hang of them soon and then ranked can return (legit the reason, even though it sounds like a joke).
Honestly though, I played about 70 games in the last season and I don’t even want the trinket.
Rank is dead in Australia and Asia, but apparently there was a more active player base in Asia, so that meant the servers are better off being based there. Right? Playing in both regions I can honestly say this is bullshit. In the beginning of open beta, the ranked scene was destroyed by hackers, with no action taken by Nexon or SD until it was well and truly too late. I don’t care what some moronic, out of context graph says.
So moving on, we lost our servers and an already dwindling player base in Aus was even more divided, with some players not wanting to play ranked with a higher ping, which is completely understandable. The Asian player base had little to no interest in ranked, at least from my perspective and our regions ranked matchmaking’s eventual death forced us to play on American servers with a shitty ping, which isn’t fun for either sides.
Either way, if you’re from Aus/Asia region, don’t hold your breath or even view it as a fix to shitty balancing in pubs.
When it finally comes back, it’ll stay active for about 1-2 weeks at most, and the people that yearn for it can try to play a few games and eventually go back to the awesome matchmaking in pubs whilst noobs complain that we should be playing ranked.
Also, it better have a merc limit and a level requirement higher than 7, otherwise it’s always going to be a joke, as if the queue times weren’t enough. Disagree if you want, this is primarily based on the Aus/Asia region. I know it’s not as bad for the rest of the world. I really do hope I’m wrong and the new season is a fresh start.
But even the blatant lie of saying you could get Merc-serv crates (a mistake which remained unfixed for the whole time ranked was up) and double credits wasn’t enough incentive to keep ranked active, so I guess we’ll have to wait and see what SD’s new plans are.
