Any “official” word on when they are going to correct their severe over-nerf of Phantom, in some form or another?
When is Phantom getting dev attention? Zzzz... this developer, tho.
There’s hope, but no promise. They’ve never even said anything on the dev streams as far as I’m aware of.
Recently Shoe said in one of the streams he would like to see Phantom buffed with some sort of ability so that phantom is a better team player… seems like they are aware of the issue, but, just not releasing what they are doing about it yet.

Yup! Sounds about right to me! 
Only took us like two weeks? of Phantom posts, but hey, at least we finally got some information about it.
If they’re planning an ability, who knows, maybe they picked something from the forums?
Thanks for a reply @RazielWarmonic, I hope these kind of responses will happen a little more often/sooner, to avoid piling up… about ~10 posts about the same topic. 
Instead of an invis he should have a lunge attack which insta gibs if he lands it depending on the range he leaped from.
Long jump + Katana heavy + Chopped = Most things are dead, I think the damage is a hundred? Pretty damn close to an instagib. Very exciting news to hear that Phantom will be getting a little love, makes me nervous when my favorite class gets tinkered with though.

Insta-gibbing is a frustrating mechanic and that’s why it was removed from sniper headshots and explosives, I doubt it will be added to any merc with such an intent.
As for the Refractive armor, he’s a recon merc, taking away invisibility completely would make him an assault merc, meaning he would need like the current movement speed and near close to Fragger’s health to pull something like that off EVEN if the armor part was left in.
Katana is just an above average melee weapon, it’s not an ability, it doesn’t mean Phantom is a melee centric merc, it’s just his advantage in close quarter combat.
I just want him to be fun not competitive. Give him a grapple hook that can attach to a player or wall then pull him towards the player/wall. That hella sounds like fun.
I’d also like Phantom to be more of a fun merc, but I’d also like him to be viable in competitive.

OH YAY! I know that others say “Phantoms fine git gud”, and all. But he really does need this.
If you’re really good with him, you’ll be able to do decent in comp…Now, if you’re still learning him. Tough road in comp. (But don’t give up. I used to suck with Fletcher, Nader, until I used them repetitively, and actually started to do decent in pub.)

Personally I would like a reworked Phantom. I hate the idea of having a slow medium tank assassin. I want a Kira or Proxy speed Phantom with low health. As for second ability we could try maybe a short range dash ability, a gap closer to fit his theme. I think the clock visibility is fair but should be complete cloak when standing absolutely still. The noise is a little over the top as well. To counter the buffs we could remove the shield ability. Refractive armor is designed to bend light but no longer prevents damage.
- Phantom is now fast but very squishy and will die to enemy fire.
- No more shielding and need to rely on movement from dash or speed to get in and out
I think I just like the idea of fast agile stealthy assassin.
