When do we get more crosshairs?

(OwNLY) #1

and again, its getting repetitive…

When do we get better crosshair options?
I know a lot of players are very happy with the dot, and thats nice.
But a bunch of players have problems with it (me included).
For me (red dot) the worst thing is that its impossible to disable the blood effects on enemys i shoot,
as the option doesn´t do anything, and the config workaround will be disabled soon.
I´m expecting at least something like this, as we are in 2015 and need to move forward instead of backwards with customization.

I have been asking about this since we got these crosshairs in 2013, and not once did i get an answer…

Or will the mumble crosshair overlay be officially supported?

(Bloodbite) #2

are you one of these people that wants to have a smiley face as your crosshair?

I’m pretty sure one of the devs on last Wednesday’s stream mentioned that they’re looking to add more options in response to a question about crosshairs but I can’t be bothered to find it in over 2 hours of unannotated video without the accompanying chat that would have included the question.

Who cares about crosshairs, let them fix the real problems like MM first and then we can have extra random features.

Edit: also on the dev stream they said crosshair overlays won’t be banned, since everyone can use them and they don’t effect gameplay to a degree that can be called cheating/hacking. Because if you classify that as cheating you also have to consider VOIP overlays and Steam overlay as cheating/hacking, which is pointless.

My problem with current crosshairs:
Dot is the best for good aiming, hands down.
Full crosshair teaches you how each weapon accumulates spread.

There is nothing in between. I would like to have a fairly big and very visible dot, with the rest of the crosshair in some pale color, for example dark grey.

Yeah adeto, because the team can only work on one thing at a time. Ui Artists are the same thing as Game Engineers.

(OwNLY) #7

Currently using THIS as a mumble crosshair overlay.

It gives me much better tracking on the head.
Pretty close to the crosshair i have been using in QL (and CS:GO shudders).

(OwNLY) #8

That is how it looks like ingame.

Now DB is too easy.
(most enemys already left before end of the round)

The current crosshairs in this game are ****; we need more of them (a cross, circle with dot in center, cs go style, ect…)

CS:GO style crosshairsettings: thickness, size, drawoutline, dot, ect…

When you disable the crosshair ingame, the sniper scope lines should be remove as well – same goes for the giant ****ing blishlock dot and every other gun that has a scope.

I’m fine with using the mumble crosshair, but having it overlay with the sniper scope is obnoxious.

Always thought that was intentional, so not to make it “laser accurate” and also to discourage iron sighting. And yeah, I dislike it as well.

(poiuasd) #11

Discouraging the usage of iron sights is a tad silly sentiment since there’s a bunch of guns in the game that require those unless you wanna make the decision between having reduced DPS or random spread.
