Yes, they’re need more variations than just mere “woodland” camo. Maybe the digital woodland version, or tiger stripe woodland (although it’s uglier than the original lmoa), anything is fine as long it’s categorized as “woodland” camo
What's your point in crafting higher than Bronze?
I don’t know why SD even bothered creating separate skins for Iron and Lead. No one willingly uses those*, they could have easily make them the same as Bronze. But since those skins exist, it’s a shame they’re underutilized. I’d pay some credits/fragments to change skins on Bronze cards to Iron/Lead. Even as much as a cost to craft a Silver, but without RNG. Loadout stays the same and I pick the skin.
@stayfreshshoe @RazielWarmonic - any chance of that happening?
(*) barring some Double Time freaks
Cobalt Fragment’s Sexiness + But mostly RARITY.
Anyone can gather Bronze, and reach Silver easily.
I want to be special at anything, compare to the others.
It was like a gamble game within a game. It was fun, going for nice looking skins (I don’t like bronze colors). But since the introduction of crafting system I don’t care anymore. I despise crafting. It’s only a little sad that I don’t have anything to waste my credits to : )
When I started playing Dirty Bomb I cared about skins quite a lot.
However, at some point that fascination stopped.
That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t use a shiny card over the typical bronze but I realized that I’m here for the fantastic unique gameplay and not for colours on my gun.
I do participate in events, though.
The gamble is fun.
I personally like blue and more natural colors on clothing. So it is nice to get those as skins every once in a while. I can play with bronzes all day though.
Made and traded back in 11 cobalts because of the 1:1 fragment ratio during the event.
550k credits later and I got the proxy card I wanted… woo
While that seems like a silly amount of credits to spend, I’m pretty happy with the card.
If this event’s prices were made default, I’d like try and craft cobalts again, otherwise it just isn’t worth it in my opinion… RNG can be a bitch.
@aminuseternal Willingly? As in you still use a Lead or Iron card if you have the same loadout in Bronze+?
Reason for crafting higher than bronze:
When you have all mercs and all the load out you want you need to waste your credits on something. Even I dislike RNG in general it was more fun with the old system.
@MarsRover yes and no, for the mercs I dont use all of the time I just use irons, I do not really need a third augment and I just like the lead skin on some mercs.
I like urban and cobalt skins. Most of the golds are alright too. Anything is fine as long as it isn’t the dreaded bamboo or carbon, honestly. Shard and crown gold are actually nice for being brightly colored, it’s very noticeable. Swiss is okay, but the red flakes are too rare on many guns and they end up looking like garbage.
I also use iron on the mercs which still i dont have a good gold or above card, i really cant understand how can some ppl pay 17.5 k credits for a bronze when they could craft irons instead, its not like 1 missing perk will make you suddenly aimless
Like when the third augment is good? Like if it’s bomb squad, there are quite a few cards that the best augments on the bottom. You also can guarantee your weapon choices, for instance if you want an Aimee card with both the Grandeur and the Caulden, G52. Or maybe you absolutely hate the iron skin to the point of preferring that sexy default skin without augments, but you don’t mind the bronze skin
Yeah okay it may vary between cards but for example i’ve been using thunder iron card with bigger blast and quick reload, still doing slaughterhause with it, or phantom card with crotzni undercover and mechanic, my final statement is: a card above bronze sure is perfect(silver is ugly imo) but a bronze card is no way worth a buy from the store, 2 or 3 tries with crafting are enough, then i would go with irons
I like the variety, I craft and use different variations of skins for different mercs…I don’t go all with nothing but cobalt…but I don’t just leave everything bronze either.
