What's with the influx of aimbotters in the last week?

(doxjq) #1

Seriously I’ve been playing D.bomb since like June and hackers are so rare, maybe saw 3 in total up until December, but the last week as been mental. 20+ at least, all advertising their aimbots in game aswell.

What’s even worse is no one seems to get banned for it, even after you report them. The report is a generic copy and pasted message saying they can’t tell you the outcome but that it’s being looked in to, but then you still see the same player playing even after you’ve provided video evidence of the aimbot in action.

Ok so here is something new. This hack isn’t just an aimbot. There’s a guy hacking in our server right now. If you kick him, his hack some how enables the server to kick the guy who called the vote instead of himself, and he is able to to objective work any where on the map. He was looking at a brick wall before and managed to repair the ramp and EV on Chapel when he is half the map away from them.

This is borderline mental. As if an aimbot alone wasn’t bad enough ffs.

Yip, seeing the same shitters on AUS servers as well. Getting annoying. NEXON need to take more action on getting these players banned forever not just VAC account and create another.

(HunterAssassin5) #4

i did notice a small spike in suspicious headshotters here in the asia servers, but no one is spamming aimbot ads around here, or maybe i just happened to be out of the servers with the botters

(doxjq) #5

I provided visual evidence in my report to nexon, which took 24 hours to get a response, with a video I uploaded to youtube of the guy using the aimbot in action, and they responded with a generic copy and pasted we will look into this response and that they can’t let me know the outcome of the ticket.

The dude was still running around in servers today though, so I can only assume they didn’t ban him.

Unless they did ban him and the guy made a new account with the same nickname - that’s possible I guess. Highly unlikely but possible. Couldn’t see some idiot going through that much effort just to hack but who knows what gets these people off. They need some way to permanently ban people that doesn’t let them create a new account. I don’t even know if that is possible.

(doxjq) #6

This is getting out of hand. Just jumped on, joined an objective server. Aimbot inside, so I left. Joined a stopwatch server, 2 x aimbots using the same nickname inside, so I left. Moved to another stopwatch server with another 2 aimbots inside. Left that aswell. I’m not even going to bother trying a 4th server. Someone on the development team seriously needs to get their hands on this aimbot (they are advertising it in game, I guess the aimbot does it automatically) and get an anti cheat up and running for it  Who can we PM to give them the link to the aimbot? I know if I post it here they’ll just remove my post.

Just headshot them back Dox, kappa

Sorry, but since I couldn’t reply due to the locked thread. I have to quote you and ask.

@Ardez

Nexon takes an active role in preventing hacking as well as banning hackers. If you report the user with the in game reporting function then that user will be investigated and banned if it is confirmed.

You can also submit a ticket via Nexon Support, but using the in game function should be good enough.

There is a strict no naming and shaming rule on these forums. I deleted the content from your post that breaks forum rules and I have locked this thread.

I reported someone 4-5 days ago with visual evidence of the aimbot in action (an MP4 demo I uploaded to youtube that 100% unquestionably shows the guy hacking), instant snapping onto enemies heads faster than humanly possible, aiming through walls and even shooting at the walls etc, but to this day the guy is still running around in servers using and advertising his aimbot.

They did respond to my ticket, it hasn’t gone unnoticed, in fact the ticket has even been “resolved” and closed. But the guy clearly wasn’t banned, so I have to ask do they actually look at these tickets closely or just sob them off to the side?

Sorry if this sounds sour, it’s really not my intention, but you can understand given the circumstances why I am concerned.

(Ardez1) #9

I don’t have insight on the internal process to ban a hacker. However, It is possible that the user has multiple accounts with the same name. I don’t know enough personally about the situation to say and I am unable to view any tickets supported as I am only a volunteer for the forums.

All reports are reviewed by Nexon, so please continue to report users seen hacking.

Thank You.

havent see any :frowning: wish i can see one, the last time i saw it is in augest last year

@rancid

How it works is hacks are found then reported then fixed/blocked ect. Then new hacks are found then reported… ect ect. Until the past few days I haven’t had many hacking reports come my way. (but I am QA ;P)

I did work in the CS department here at Nexon and what I can tell you is:

All hacking/player reports are checked. Also, I do not know the status of the player in question but, there are several cases where players who are banned just make new accounts or they have several accounts already. You the reporter are not told the outcome of the report because of privacy policies.

Hope this helps.

(doxjq) #12

Well, in a nutshell, that kind of sucks.

If they have more than one profile and nothing stops them from just making profiles over and over it’s not worth my time making a video, uploading it, and filling out the report, as they’re just going to be back tomorrow.

I mean it takes longer for me to do all that than it does for them to make a new steam account, so I dunno.

I’ll just hope they come up with an anti cheat system soon that actually gets rid of this aimbot in particular. Seems a bit ridiculous the hackers are playing no worries while those of use who aren’t hacking are getting kicked 2-3 times a day for “security violations”

(Ardez1) #13

You can simply use the in game reporting function. A video and completed report aren’t necessary like they used to be.

(DarkMatterMatt) #14

Would it be possible to ban IP addresses? It isn’t perfect but it would mean that hacker couldn’t make another account to get around the ban. The downside to this is it would mean that if there was a hacker in the same household as another player, both would be banned.

(doxjq) #15

Yeah I know, but my point still stands about it being pointless if they can just keep making new accounts. Not that this is Nexon’s problem, I understand it’s a steam thing, but meh.

It is much quicker to use the in game reporting tool then it is for them to make a new account. Your point was

I mean it takes longer for me to do all that than it does for them to make a new steam account, so I dunno.
so I let you know how it is faster to just report them.

(doxjq) #17

I already said, my point is that it seems kind of pointless if they can just make a new account and keep at it. It literally takes a few minutes to make a steam account.

Think it’s probably easier to just wait until there’s an updated anti cheat or something, but eh none the less I’ll keep trying to report them.

I’ve only experienced one hacker/cheater , a Skyhammer, capable of downing a Rhino in 3 shots, of his pistol. And when called out on it, he never responded, and then he camped our spawn, until finally another hacker joined our team, and killed him, he then rage quit, calling us all ****** in the chat and then leaving game, then the hacker on our team left, and the game went on as normal.
