Whats going on with this game?

(Cesmode) #1

How is it not dead yet? Its been…7 months since a new merc? Only one new map (or so?) added in the last year? I mean, the development is nearly non existent. Its why my buddies and I stopped playing. Well, plus overwatch launched, but still. Theres no development in this game, the cash model is horrible…theres absolutely no reason to spend $$$, no wonder they can’t make any new content.

Trust me, I would love to see this game succeed. Its fun. I played the living sh_t out of it for a long time. But after a while, its the same boring crap.

People will come in and say everything is fine and Casual Matchmaking will be out soon.

While you’re not right with “only one map in a year”, I’m pretty sure 3 maps for Execution came out in the last 12 months, the development is reeeeeeally slow indeed and the cash model is utter shit.

(doxjq) #3

It’s not dead because the gameplay is good. It’s that simple.

It might not appeal to everyone, and the game does have many flaws. There’s a lot of bugs, the cash model is crap, there are many people reporting FPS issues etc, but at the end of the day the gameplay is awesome, and that’s enough to keep loyal followers around.

I figure as long as the devs are happy with the progress, I’m good

(BlackboltLW) #5

Can’t hope for fast content updates from a small developer

But hey, as long as the game is fun, I could care less about new contents

while its true that they came out in last 12 months the development period for the first two maps lasted quite a bit before October/November of last year. Still more than one a year, just wanted to point it out.

I vote to push the Dirty Bomb to change the In Game Lore year to 2030.

Since the game will be out of beta in 2020

god help us all.

Skyhammer knows. You can see it in his face. Sadness, pain and despair.

Yeah I mean I prefer to see the lore and the story in this game will be explained further

Only the fittest have survived.
Not everyone likes current trends in online shooter. So Dirty Bomb is the association of hipsters, who like it old school.

Maybe someone of you can explain this to me.
Why do people who wonder why a game isn’t dead yet even bother with the forum and create a Thread? Aren’t there enough threads of this kind?
I just don’t get it…

If you like this game, play it.
If you dislike this game, leave it.
If you think you have a good idea for this game, post it.
If you are concerned about something, name it.
If you want something to know, search for it.
-If there is no thread, create it.

If you want to shitpost, don’t do it.

Good ideas for this game, regarding balance, UI, maps and game modes have been suggested countless times.
Now we all wait for SD to choose and implement them. Takes just as long as medical service to heal us, hoping we won’t die of illness while waiting.

Maybe you can explain this to me.
Why do you assume that someone who is wondering why the game isn’t dead yet should not visit a forum. There are never enough threads about a major issue that affects us all.
I don’t get it.

Why should I leave because I dislike something? I dislike alot in this game. Even though I’m not playing actively, I come back once in a while to check if something changed or the community changed.
I dislike a lot what SD is doing, or rather what they aren’t doing.
I dislike working. Should I just stop it? No, I should not. But by your stereotypical thinking I should. Pretty flawed.

I think there is a difference between wondering why DB is still going and releasing a person’s anger and frustrations as a display. I would classify the OP as the later in all honestly.

Disliking something is not really the issue. It is practically expected that some will dislike something. Some one always does.

It is how people express their dislike that is the issue. Too many people simply “screeming” their displeasure does not really add much to promoting community and growth in my opinion.

i don’t think people “screeming” at the “screamers” really help either.

Unfortunately I think this is to be expected though. We are only human.

It just leads to a lot the same things being said over and over again with out anything really being accomplished. that is at least what I have noticed with my life experiences.

you are probably right and I overreacted there

it’s your opinion. I think at some point there are enough threads about the same topic… If it is that important it will float at the top of the threads.

to leave something include the possibility to return. Also it seems you rather like the game than disliking it + you can like something despite some aspects of this game.

Money runs this world and you need this for your living. Therefore you go to work and earn your money. Do you need games to survive? I think your comparison between a game and your work not fitting, sry.

ok

Sorry, but this isn’t a thread that needs to happen. Just because you lost interest in a game and ignored all the other people playing it doesn’t mean that everyone else did at the same time. It’s typical of people claiming something is “dead” that they don’t really look beyond their own thoughts on a game and that makes me sad.

Dead to you doesn’t equal dead to everyone else in the world.
