But why? It’s the 21st century for f*ck sake, with the rise of multiculturalism, you’d think that people would be less goddamn Xenophobic, sensitive, and butthurt wouldn’t ye?
I would say that the majority of people don’t use “jew” as a serious insult but rather more light-hearted. Like when you owe someone 5,10€ and you give him a 5 note and he demands the missing 10 ct and you response “Oh you greedy jew (or something”" while looking in your pockets for those missing 10ct. I don’t think anyone (or at least most of the people) wouldn’t see that as an actual insult against jews.
It’s just like calling someone a german if their waaay to strickt about little things or calling someone an asian if they got an A+ without learning a single second or what ever.
It’s just playing with stereotypes and not insulting a whole race/religion/country/whatever.

As a German, who has grown up in a university city, to then attend most of highschool in the deepest woods, I can tell you that jew was a frequent insult among, what they would like you to call, the conservative youth. And these were all intelligent people. German school system sorts by intelligence in 3 degrees. These where what you would call the smart kids.
Lets not even get started on the fact that guys can’t have long hair without being gay, or girls short hair. Dyed hair etc, as well as everyone who is not a conservative clearly being something to shake your head at.
You greatly underestimate the influence stereotypes hold by the parents have on their kids.
Also, Japanese getting A+ is because they do, infact, study like it’s their job. Studying for school is taken pretty seriously in Japan.
