What the heck is going on? Radiant problem.

I can’t create a patch mesh or a cylinder… help! Everytime I create a patch mesh or cylinder it disappears when I deselect it! This sucks! I need both of them very badly…

Does anyone know what causes this error or what fixes it?

I haven’t tested the map in ET yet, so I’m not sure if the meshes/cylinders are not there or just not showing up in the editor…

Check if you’ve actually filtered patches
strp+p as far as I remember. Or in the menu view->filter->patches (was it view?)

(Ifurita) #3

yep, I’ve done that before too. You probably have 5-6 of the same thing sitting on top of each other now

D’oh! Thanks guys.

Just wait until you hit Ctrl+D by accident. Then you’ll really freak out

(TFate) #6

Dare I ask…?

It’s the toggle to turn on/off detail. It’s actually very useful. I recommend you use it to take a look at what is structural and what is not on a regular basis, since everything that is structural adds to the VIS table.

One more note: the opposite toggling can be done with Ctrl+Shift+D.

yea for those who doesn’t really know the difference between detail/structural brushes just open the goldrush sample map and hit ctrl+D :d
