I would make comment, but my favorite TV show as a kid was Ed Edd & Eddy. Im pretty sure that cartoon gave me brain cancer and I loved every second of it.
Hell i’d still watch it just for nostalgia.
Other than that I didn’t get into cartoons much as a kid other than Kids Next Door, Courage the Cowardly Dog and Samurai Jack. I kind of grew up before I was supposed too and was already watching stand-up comedy and whatnot. Carlin was a favorite, still is. The fact that I never hung around kids my own age and was subjected to adult humor made cartoons just feel kind of…whats the word? Condescending?
All of that said, Im occasionally roped into watching the new Cartoon Network with my younger sibling. She’s 6. Im 21. We both giggle at the Amazing World of Gumball. Everything else may very well be shit, but Gumball gets a laugh out of me.
The only one I’m not sure of is this MLP craze. I legit do not understand it. It seems mediocre in every sense of the word. Its not terrible, but I dont see the appeal for grown men, I honestly don’t.
