What Stats get tracked?

(EliteOp11) #1

Just wondering, whether or not wins and losses do. I couldnt care less about K/D since i play to win. Thanks for any info available.

I really wish there would be some kind of a stat tracker… atleast on the PC. ETQW had a cool website for this. Kind of looked like this: http://bf2s.com/player/200517458/

Chances are very good you’ll be able to see your own stats in lots of detail, up to and inclusing your k/d. Just because they aren’t ranking guys by it at the end of each match doesn’t mean you can’t see it.

some people are obsessed with K/D ratio so glad it’s not in because it really mutates the player into a douche.

(Cankor) #6

OK, fair enough.

I agree, I like games that show how much damage you did instead, most of the time I know i’m doing a lot of good for the team but my kills and even assist are taken by some one else, even when i do over 50% of the damage to the person i’m targeting I don’t get any credit.

Lameeeee

10/car

i hope some sort of xp leaderboard <

And have stat padders/whores in BRINK too? No thanks. Thanks to that it was hard to find balanced teams on ET:QW pubs. The statwhores always stacked the winning team.

When I played ET I only cared about my accuracy for that game rather than overall as it gave me an indication of how well I was playing… e.g. 35% was the norm but 40% was a good round…
Lameeeee

10/car
why?
because it’ll encourage ppl to actually play the game instead of hiding trying to protect their k/d ratio?

(DouglasDanger) #13

Does this mean no k/d on the leader board, or no k/d visible anywhere?

(Sheza) #14

Whilst I’m fine with no K/D tracking, I would like an online profile page of some sorts?

(Mustang) #15

Definitely no K/D on any official leaderboards
I also gather you won’t be able to see your own global K/D ratio
Personally I wouldn’t have much of a problem with people being able to see their own per match K/D ratio

I do wonder whether server stats trackers will be able to gleam this info though

(DouglasDanger) #16

I’m fine with no k/d viewable anywhere. It isn’t really relevant to Brink. k/d is only relevant to death match, and Brink doesn’t have DM, so it is irrelevant.

(BiigDaddyDellta) #17

screw it id rather just play

(trigg3r) #18

i wouldn’t mind some class stats like in TF2, with each class time played, longest life etc…

(madoule) #19

yeah i’d love to see my stats on percentages per class, body type, favorite character, gun, secondary, average life time…

I agree that KDR is a stat that doesn’t faithfully represent skill, but there is no need to hide any stat OUT of the game. The important thing is the stats shown on the scoreboard because this is what makes some people adjust their play style to maximize their scoreboard stats (whatever the scoreboard stats track).

It would be ideal if the scoreboard stats displayed only some general score from doing objectives. And the end-game screen showed your more detailed stats only to you.
