What other FPS does DB remind you of most?

It seems like a combination of TF2 and CS:GO, but other people are saying it’s more similar to COD + Overwatch.

anyone?

With no doubt older splash damage games. Especially Brink and W:ET. And also Urban terror instead of COD if you compare it to a TDM based shooter. This game is very far from CS:GO. Movements are much faster and strategies are very different. Due to the class system, some cartoonesque design of characters and game mode similarities the game indeed reminds of TF2. But the comparison might stop here. Fighting feels very different.

The classes are not diverse enough to label the game a TF2 clone, and the fact that the weapons in both games are vastly different further sets the two apart. Anyone that somehow thinks DB is similar to TF2 is probably only thinking in the loosest possible terms.

I probably wouldn’t compare Overwatch to DB either, that game looks like it is going to have a lot more class diversity and teamwork/tactics than DB has (with any luck). It might actually succeed in taking TF2’s place as a team based shooter, something I doubt DB is capable of.

DB takes a lot of features from other games and combines them (some well, others not so well) but I wouldn’t say it is a direct copy of any of those games.

My brain probably took me to the CS:GO area because of how heavy teamwork and communication comes to play, also I’ve been playing a shit ton while I wait for DB to come back lmao.

Haven’t actually played, but after watching a lot of videos, the class system reminds me a lot of Battlefield games.

Battlefield Fortress 4. Now with even more hats.

I think it’s similar to CS:GO in that the majority of the aiming is done through hipfire and there is a huge emphasis on headshots and teamwork.

GDF vs GDF no vehicles, to be honest though apart from the standard SW and OBJ gameplay it’s pretty unique, definitely has a et/etqw feel to it.

W:ET combined with Urban Terror before the turned UrT into the abomination it is today.

As a CS veteran I can definitely say this game has absolutely nothing in common with CS:GO other than they are both FPS games. The shooting is incredibly different, the map mechanics are different, the weapon systems are different, there aren’t classes in CS and the movement is basically opposite.

I’d actually say that the game has more in common with a MOBA than CS:GO due to the way the classes are handled.

Hell yes, when I say Urban Terror I mean 2.6 and 3.4 version and maybe 3.7 but anything further…

The fatigue system is horrible in UrT these days. I tried it out again not long ago and I just couldn’t believe what they did to the game.
