The game looked like a canned UE3 mil sim asset game back then. I much prefer the current design choices that wasn’t going for the CoD “me too!” look that was so popular during DB’s early days.

Does anyone have any more alpha gameplay? Maybe some of Dazzler and Proxy’s throwing out a frag would be cool to see.

Game was REEALLL DIFFERENT back then. The reason why DB’s history intrigues today’s players so much is that not many other games change THAT much from Alpha to Open Beta stages.
I mean from a CoD like custom class with custom guns, skins, perks and graphics with the exception of being very team-oriented to a game with brighter dynamic lightings and completely revamped mercs that have been split to different mercs, Fletcher’s bombs that used to be able to work like Proxy’s mines and long and cool EV maps that have been shortened.

I agree. I’ve never played COD or games like it, but I’ve seen some about them, and I feel like I’d suck because of the slower pace. It’d confuse me.

around 44 minutes i saw him die, and he looked like thunder. was that thunder, or dazzler? also was he carrying a HOCHFIR

Thunder, and yes, he used to have the Hochfir as his secondary. Dazzler/Fragger used to carry the M4 as a secondary :o
