I dunno if it’s just me. But if I get a cobalt loadout and the gun isn’t blue. I would be very disappointed. It just looks like a silver loadout.
I want my cobalts to stand out and be able to notice it’s a cobalt straight the way.
To each their own, @ValyrianKaos, my opinion is not the popular one, but to me both Cobalt Skins are fairly lazy and bland; though I like the Holographic/Kaleidoscope-like effect on the gun texture for Fragment (Which is only shown with HQ Materials turned on; but is, granted, more noticable during actual gameplay) over the solid, sickly blue, colored paint-job of Shard’s Gun and its Camouflage pattern.
It isn’t fair to say it doesn’t stand out and looks like a Silver Loadout though. Both of them stand out as different from Silver Loadouts. If you were to do a side-by-side comparison, it is painfully clear; as Silver is always one of two patterns:
Cobalt has the blue palette swap of Bronze (Shard - A Camouflage Pattern comprised of varied shades of blue) and the Black/Silver Color Skin (Fragment - A Black/Silver texture pattern with the word Fragment in some places) as its options. If anything, Gold has the most actual variety in textures and patterns out of any of the current rarities; making it the most notable of the four current Loadout types.
