What keeps you playing this game?

(Reddeadcap) #41

Very little, I just love the asthetics. Not hyper-realistic and not Too cartoony, hip firing accuracy makes sense on many guns and many abilities are fair, even when I’ve died to them often.

It’s a perfect spot between “modern” and “classic” shooters as ThiagoJaqueta said, since one doesn’t need to aim down sights to shoot someone 3 inchest infront of them.

Every now and then I come across a server filled with people who’re lively and co-operate well without any complaining, but that’s not all that often.

Friends, my YouTube channel and my addiction to competitive types of games.

(LifeupOmega) #43

I like how the game plays in a 5v5 setting. Unfortunately, as MM is a joke, competitive is non-existent, and pubs are boring, not much is keeping me around. I really want this game to do well though, but we’ll see what happens.

(Ballto) #44

Completion, i need every card in cobalt or ill never feel like i actually succeeded

(avidCow) #45

Not much at the moment. New characters were interesting but Thunder is a flop and now Nexon are bringing out literal cartooned pieces of coal, like I’m supposed to give a shit.

(Black) #46

Almost 800 hours here.
I like the game because it’s very unique and it has some cool cosmetics.

What keeps me coming back is pooping on noobs and doing missions.

First, the video was kinda, meh.
Second. I like the gameplay. it’s free, it’s fair, it’s hip, it’s now and wow.
GET OUT OF MY OFFICE, HOFFMAN!
I love you.

(estew) #48

female mercs arent hot, which keeps me focused on the game loooool

(brennanfreak) #49

You mean to say you don’t like dat Aura booty?

(Gung-ho) #50

I keep playing because there are a lack of good games being made these days. DB is good (with potential to be great) in a world full of at best average fps games that have been made in the last few years.

I just hope SD can pull their socks up and get this game to better meet it’s potential before a number of other FPS games in 2016 are released that also seem promising. In other words DB is against the clock and needs to cement itself before the 2016 contenders are released.

(Mrarauzz) #51

The only thing that keeps me going is my waifu Sparks… And now that she is on my primaries my life is complete(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧.

Also solid gameplay

(srswizard) #52

Just something to play to stay active, while waiting for Overwatch.

With these fps drops, full freezes and warps, it really isn’t worth it, though.

(avidCow) #53

Overwatch looks polished already, as if it’s almost ready for release but is being perfected and some last minute problems ironed out. Like a beta or something.

(Cutesypie) #54

1090HRS Good Question ;_: why am i still playing

(Sir_Slam) #55

Because everything else on the market is complete sh*t. DB is my safe haven. It has a lot of problems but at least their trying, which is more than I can say for other devs out there. Classic FPS feel is hard to find.

CS:GO is trash. Got up to MG and I still don’t see any reason for the game to be as poplar as it is. I have no doubt that I could grind my up to decently high rank, but there’s no point.

League was amazing once, but 2 seasons worth of mostly bad decision making has earned its spot in the trash bin. I have no idea what the devs are on anymore. Every single update makes me cringe. Stopped playing a few months ago.

I never could get into DOTA for a myriad of reasons. Garbage IMO. I’ll concede that a lot of my reasoning is personal, but there a few things that make me scratch my head.

Burned out on TF2 pretty hard. And I mean hard. I spent a long time on that game. Valve hasn’t spent much time making the game more interesting, instead opting for hats. I’m really not even mad about it. Spent 10 bucks on the game in 2010 and got an insane amount of playtime out of it. I’ll remember it fondly.

(jollyRacer) #56

Just waiting for Aimee, that’s all.

(mirthfulPicture) #57

Very fun gameplay so I keep coming back to it but the game is a bit too small for me to be playing it consistantly. 90 hours so far since this summer.

(Runeforce) #58

It’s a shooter that does more than just look good: it plays deliberate and well, which is a rare occurrence in fps-land.
It does not require you to throw down €120 up front for a partially finished product with a year of support.
It keeps its focus: multiplayer gaming, and it refrains from devolving into the worst industrial dogmas of the genre.

(FalC_16) #59

good graphics, awesome sounds, immersion, realism is not what keeps me playing games, that is why I play Dirty Bomb. Despite the horrid RNG I kinda enjoy torturing myself getting those rarity cards xD

(bontsa) #60

Despite the lack of community servers I’ve managed to gather a jolly group of random misfits that tend to play together quite often. Keeps me coming back listenin’ to these guys horrible attempts of a jokes and paying back with my joyful screams that make them devastatingly annoyed enjoy the experience even more.
