Joined USA queue as a single. The time tells me “less than 5 minutes” but after 16 minutes of searching, no matches found (I am unranked, so my rank is not the problem)
Joined as a team of 5 and it says “more than 30 minutes” and we find a match in 1 minute and 7 seconds.
I’ve been complaining about these queue times for a while but no one seems to respond, hopefully someone sees this and sheds some light on it.
I’ll explain again. SD effed themselves by ignoring the cheating and hacking and let ranked become a festering pool of unbridled internet hatred and vitriol. Now people don’t want to play ranked, even after the anti-cheat implementation, and when people do they wait an inordinate amount of time and then end up getting squared off much higher ranked people that completely destroy them. That makes people’s ranked match experience a horror fest that they don’t want to experience again.
Catch-22 of SD’s own making.
I’m not trying to play the blame game here, that’s just the reality of the situation currently. No clue how they would fix it. There is no amount of incentives that would make me subject myself to the asshattery I went through and queue up again.
Ive thought about playing ranked, just the 10-11 games to get a rank but seeing all the issues people have has put me off from trying
