Leaf with too many portals

got this, what is leaf? how to find it? and how to fix it?

I don’t bother explaining now the technicaltities behind this. But I’d imagine you have a place in your map where is some decoration that has many small brushes next to eachother being structural instead of detail. Do you know what are structural vs. detail brushes?

think so, structural is drawned all the time, details when you’re close to it?

Yup, that is my guess too. Thunderpwn, the stuff you create inside the map are called brushes, as you probably know. Now, they can be in one of two states (modes), as Sage says: structural or detailed. You need to search for info about that and learn the difference. And learn how to turn strucutral brushes into detailed ones, because that is probably where your problem lies.

removed a crane prefab… seem to have solved the problem… make something myself instead :slight_smile: or use a model

Vis compile in Radiant was always interesting to look at, it is always worth learning :slight_smile: Think shagileo once posted an interesting collection paper on it.

As for actual problem: if you switch brushes of the crane to detail you will probably be able to keep using it, instead of removing it.

yea, sorry Mateos… got a real bad back atm, so I cant sit to much… but on the bright side going to a chiropractor today and hopefully it gets better.
