What is the Tickrate?

(Ashcrow) #1

Just out of curiosity, this is more a random question.

What is the tickrate/unreal engine equivalent in Extraction of both the Servers and the players?

Will we see the ability to increase to make the game even smoother?

AFAIK, the default is around 30, the minimum being 15 and desired around 15-30. Would love some more info from the technical crowd.

Cheers.

For those (including myself) who have no idea what tickrate is: http://wiki.unrealadmin.org/Netspeed_Tutorial_%28UT%29

I think the servers a running with rate 150000 and trickrate 60. But don’t know for sure…

I believe this is the case. Will try and remember to confirm with SRS-Kap

Thanks!

Will we see the ability to adjust rates and tickrates in the near future for competitive matches that are smaller in size?

With this bad client sided performance most people are fine with those settings XD

If they are already this ridiculously high not sure why you would want to tweak them.

yep, i posted it before i actually read the whole thing. First he is talking about “frame per seconds” then after a while we are talking about miliseconds, then multiplying things…
