What is the point of Dreiss AR

I feel special for this gun and I want to use it as main badly, but I can’t aim, shoot or kill with it for that matter. The kills I do are rare situations like flanking or ADS far off but mostly when I’m in short-med range battle, I always lose, unless it’s some special situation like Dreiss vs Dreiss. The Stark AR though I think is by far the best gun in the game and I’m quite comfortable with it. But I want to be a Dreiss person, what do.

Does this gun require some special gaming mouse or what. Or SD just left it as it is because Arty being a very old merc who was barely used before and just thought ‘Oh let us just give it more damage per shot than other guns and leave it at that’. I know the gun can kill in very good hands, but quoting Sawbonez, with one hand I can’t kill with the other I can’t kill either, actually it’s the same hand but that don’t sound as good.

I don’t know. The only thing you can do is keep trying and get more skilled with the gun.

agree, dreiss takes a lot of aim.

important to note though, what is the OPs FPS? Sometimes low FPS will cap how well you can aim… that could be the root of the problem if he’s getting like 30 fps.

The issue with the dreiss is both the br16 and the stark are still superior. Since the buff, the weapon did get alot better but is still in need of some love.

They keep buffing the damage for some reason, and now it can 3 shot an Aura in the body.

Even if you miss the HS, you get an easy 27 dmg. The only problem is in CQC when you have a speedy class giving you shit for it. Aside from that the Dreiss is pretty good.

Not spamming also drastically decreases your DPS and makes close quarters gunfights against people with similar skill and with a burst or automatic weapon unwinnable unless you get the first shot or get a few headshots.

That’s my main complaint about the gun. Why would I use it when I can use the BR-16 or Stark?

i love the dreiss, of course in a cqc fight its not the best but its not for that. ill use stark if i know ill be doing alot of cqc but for more open maps ill run with with the dreiss happily.

I love the Dreiss in any combat situation, long range, close range, pointblank, whatever. It’s an extremely effective weapon, especially if you’re capable of hitting those headshots. Spamming it is actually fine when you’re up close as long as you’re aiming while doing so. If you have problems with the Dreiss, try out the Grandeur. It’s much harder to use, but when you switch back to the Dreiss, you’ll be a pro.

The Dreiss is great for picking off wounded enemies as well as the 27 damage per shot or whatever can easily finish off injured mercs with 1-2 bullets with very little aiming.

The Dreiss doesn’t have the best damage output ever and is less forgiving than the burst rifles, but that doesn’t make it bad. It’s a fair weapon but still could be better compared to the burst weapons.

I did it. After gutting out the learning curve on my potato with bad aim and what not, I put it on the top and feel content. Next, I will bring the Stark to give it company.

Got my Dreiss on top, and gonna do the same with the Stark after I purchase Arty and Kira. I need to get my Grandeur up there as well.

Also, pay close attention to the MP400. Most of those kills are from me finishing people off after I quickscope body shot them with the Felix. My aim is shit so I don’t always hit the head. When in doubt, shoot the body and chase their ass!

Guys, it’s really simple math here.

The M4 for reference does 14 damage and fires at a rate of 112 ms, the Dreiss currently does 27, and it fires at a rate of 200 ms.

The M4 takes 6 headshots to kill a Fragger, the Dreiss takes 3, and anything with less than 108 hp is knocked down in 2 headshots. You guys have 20 shots per clip as well, you can sweep a good porition of the enemy team with this gun, all it takes it some good control and aim.

Aim for headshots and do not spam the fire button, tap it, fire a shot, wait a bit, fire another.

Use the default crosshair if you need an idea of how long you need to wait before firing again.

The idea here is to control your fire, do not attempt to spam shots like crazy, take your time and you’ll deal insane damage.

When you lay it out like that, it really shows why I love the Dreiss so much. You can essentially take out an entire team with 1 clip. :smiley:
