Fps has been dropping constantly lately. With the latest updates, it always seems like fps is whats getting dragged down. How is that an update? I have been playing with InputLag False for a while since ive been trying to minimize latency as much as possible. But it got to the point that it stutters constantly and the fps just isnt stable. Around 50. So, I decided to switch it back to True, it supposedly should improve performance. Before all these useless updates, I got around 120 with it turned on. Now, same fps as off. 50-60. I dont get it. I know that the devs have said that the next one wil be focused on performance and to improve it. But all they will do is switch it back to the way it was. Or not even that. How can performance keep dropping with the updates. Truly amazing how things never get fixed. What is going on?
What is going on with the FPS?
@deftMoon
I would amuse the reason why it keeps getting worst is because when the code gets altered or lines of code get added it can tend to make the files more messy which can cause lag. (i dont know much about this stuff)
Sadly its impossible to make a game run well on every pc so what @Nail said results may vary. for example:
I have a 6 core i7 clocked @3.8GHZ
16GB of ram @2166mhz
8GB gtx 1080
and my game still have fps drops and stutters but i have friends with potato pcs that run the game with out stutters so its just luck of the draw.
also there really not useless updates there fixing alot of bugs that haunt this game
Dunno m8 last couple of patches increased my fps from 100-120 to 130-150 on most maps.
thats the sort of thing i mean it can be completely different for everyone also i have noticed the game running a bit smooth with some of these patches (but i recently ungraded my gpu so im not the best example)
my thread sync always turns it self on when i start the game and i dont know how to turn it off in my config
It’s located in the ShooterEngine file as well.
Search for “OneFrameThreadLag” and set it to True.
Save the file, go to the properties and check the read-only box.
You are done!
Yeah that stutters and FPS drops make the game nearly unplayable for me. Previously, I ran the game on high settings. I’ve since lowered some settings as with each update, the FPS got worse. However, there’s no way for me to stop these stutters. My FPS goes from 80-100, down to 20-40 for half a second sometimes. Some maps are worse than others.
Also, not sure if the stutters are causing it, but there’s a ton of bugs. It’s generally weird things. Can’t think of any examples right now. But there’s a weird lag that has been affecting the game lately.
I’ve had video settings change on their own recently and that was causing FPS drops for me. Oddly my sensitivity randomly changed to 10 as well. Will likely reinstall the game if the weirdness continues but so far turning off read only, changing settings in game, exiting and making configs read only again has worked.

Do you have Geforce Experience and is it setup to “always optimize” your games? If so that could be the culprit. Geforce Experience sets thread sync incorrectly and I don’t believe it’s fixed yet. Most likely this is a common issue for all graphical settings that keep getting reset.
what sorry did i hear fps drop… hmm interesting challenge to fight and know your fps might chug… I WILL FIGHT.
