How’s this? The exact same thing I said months ago

Other games do this sort of mode, 1 life, plant or defuse style of gameplay WAY better than Dirty Bomb. It’s horrendously broken by concept that each merc starts with their abilities at the ready, the maps allow you to kill people within the first 5 seconds, aka Frags and Orbital Laser, and the abilities recharge, meaning there is no risk involved for playing what is essentially TDM.

People are not gonna play Dirty Bomb for a sub par CS GO experience, they’re playing it for it’s own entirely different experience, Stopwatch and Objectives.

I know im late to the party but i think this is the explanation you were looking for.

Its a mode thats been as far as we know temporarily (to us execution fans and indefinately removed if u ask all the haters) removed pending posibility of rework and rentable servers. They said its dead but then said theres a strike force looking at reworking the mode and possiblity of retuning at least the maps when rentable servers are released.

Basicaly u had a little over 2 minutes to plant c4 on a pylon and defend it. Only one person can cary the c4 and plant it. If you have c4 and downed u drop c4 and any one on your team can pick it up and plant. Engi with highest xp will always start the round with c4. If no engi is on team then who ever has most xp starts with c4. U get one spawn per round once your dead your dead you dont respawn untill next round but can be revived only if your not double dead just lile regular modes. Best of 12 rounds wins. Same rules apply to c4 as stopwatch/cmm. if you plant before timer runs out round goes into overtime and only finishes if c4 blows or is defused. Once c4 is planted round continues even if every one on atackers side is dead c4 keeps the round going until it either detonates or is difuse ending the round

They originaly removed it claiming due to low player count but later after the backlash from all the hard core execution players they changed from there low player excuse to low player and not wanting support it every update.

Because its not dead its more like a hiatus untill further investigations are conducted. They didnt say its has been officialy burned to the ground. Theres a task force(aledgedly) looking at re working the game mode, and maps acording to the devs may be back in rentables servers. There may not be a tile along side cmm ranked area but i would assume we would see the mode some what suported in server browser
