What if the turret...

What if the turret worked like in the trailer?

And by that I mean what if the turret could slide a small distance? Like you could still place it right in front of yourself, but if you point the cursor further than right near yourself, it would slide the turret instead of just placing it.

Of course there would be the issue that which way the turret should point and to that my solution would be to make the turret either react to where it takes damage from when sliding or make the turret survey 180 degrees.
And I’d also like for the turret to start with full HP and in exchange reduce the DPS severely. I’d like it if the turret would be more of a distraction than an extra player firing a gun without reloading/overheating.

Not saying his turret needs changes, because I assume whoever plays Bushwhacker often likes the DPS their turret can do with good turret placements, but I’m just speculating.
Thoughts?

I doubt the devs would implement that now to be honest.

And by the way, Bushwhacker is actually a little UP at the moment, given his best gun was nerfed and the Lock On augment was nerfed (also I might be wrong but I think the max turret health was also nerfed). Proxy and Fletcher are much more effective now, especially with the introduction of mercs that can easily take out turrets (Phantom and Thunder for instance).

I don’t expect this kind of change, but I’m just wondering if others would also prefer the turret to be more of a distraction than a killing machine.
I mean, it would greatly improve Bushwhackers offense while reducing his defense effectiveness, but all around I think something like this would make him more viable all around.
Instead of placing the turret at the “perfect” location you could carry it around and use it more actively.

The turret already slides like it does in the trailer. As in, the turret’s deploy distance is nearly the same as how Bushwacker deployed it in the ad.

The action just needs to be animated like that, and boom! No gameplay changes whatsoever.

To be honest though, the ad was misleading as to how quickly the turret starts running and the fact that the turret ended up facing a direction perpendicular to how it was deployed.

Easy then - add in a sliding animation, reduce the deploy speed = still the same speed with a fancy animation.
