what happens to our money now that it s free

(riddicki) #1

now that its going to be free to play do we get our money back? or did I read wrong do you still have to pay to play?

(Dthy) #2

It’s always been F2P… The “money part” was if you wanted to support SD and help give feedback

Who’s we?

(Nail) #4

what money ?

(Seanza) #5

The game has always been F2P.

Any money you parted with wasn’t to buy the game, it was for the privilege of being able to play the game super early and, in some cases, get some memorabilia.

Looking for a second red star? Pls stop bitching around with the same subject. Always has been F2P. You paid for the benefit of early access, supporting SD.

(riddicki) #7

not bitching just asking. thought you had to pay min $30 to play. not to worried about it that’s for sure

You had to pay to become alpha tester, but that’s already over now.

Just to clarify, we’ve always said that Extraction’s core game would be free at launch - there was never any notion of turning it into a boxed product. The main purpose of the Founder’s Packs was to let people get their hands on a bunch of exclusive content to show off their early adopter status in the game (Founder’s Mercs) or real life (physical swag). All of the Founders got to play the Closed Alpha (and now the Beta) too and their feedback has helped evolve the game pretty significantly from where it was a year ago.

Not really a “head start” when you consider that the game changes over time, that we play with the bugs, and that we don’t get to keep xp or anything upon final release. As badman said, it’s about becoming an alpha and now beta tester, show some support and give feedback to help improve the game.
