What happened to the new maps?

It seems like Dockyard and gallery have totally fallen of the radar. Have there been any announcements about them since the test weekend? I really liked Dockyard and would love to see it in game soon.

Something about a shitload of playtesting and work involved in texturing/decorating.

They’re actively working on it, said last week on stream.

Indeed, I’d like to play it again too. But I didn’t hear anything about them since the test…

Execution map market was played a lot of weeks before its release if I remember correctly. These maps are coming, and I prefer that SD takes more time to work on it, rather than release an unfinished map like dome was before its rework.

Still unfinished in my eyes. The last rework didn’t do much to it. Added a few new little things as well as a useless route to the right of the attackers spawn on the first objective. Would be nice to see a community thread with ideas/suggestions for Dome to help SD make the map great. I still love it as it is now, but would like to see it reworked with the help of the community. :wink:

As for Dockyard, I can’t wait for that map! Played the hell out of it on the test weekend. It was awesome. Hoping they don’t mess it up by removing parts of the map or anything :frowning:

I loved the size of the map, but a lot of the feedback that came right after the playtest criticised the open areas, how big it was and all the long sight lines. I worry they’ll have changed/removed a lot of that by the time we actually get it. Big is beautiful!

Yeah, that’s what I liked about the map. It was very vertical, lots of sight lines, and plenty of jumps/routes and a variety of ways to approach the objective. It’s basically what we need in Dirty Bomb if you ask me.

The issue it had was lack of cover. It just needs some more objects thrown in. I know escorting the EV through the open area was difficult at times.

Personally, I’m just tired of the current maps. They’re linear, and often narrow. I just want to see more maps like Dome, Dockyard, and even Gallery! Just my opinion though.
