Being gold master myself, for the last 2 days Ive been playing with and against bronzes, unrankeds - people that have problems playing the game even on the basic level. Its so bad that I just alt-F4 the last match, im done. It wasnt problem before.
What happened to ranked matchmaking algorithm?

They must be farming for skins… don’t go in alone. Always pair up with someone you know. If you do go in by yourself, you should know the risk(s).

Been like that since I started playing…me and a friend both unranked…who got teamed with 2 gold and a silver against 4 gold and a silver…system always seemed screwy to me.

Not enough players in ranked right now. Well actually, there’s a decent amount of NA players overall, but a bunch of clueless NA players go and play in EU so NA gets stuck with no players at varying times during the day.
Anyways, try getting into a match vs a Cobalt and Elite Operative while your team is all bronze/unranked. This is the reason for me not getting past Silver Master. I don’t play with friends much and I seem to get the worst teams every time I start winning a few.

There isn’t enough people playing ranked so when your match searching takes more than 5 minutes it enlarges the skill pool it’s searching in. So basically it’s a people problem that you keep playing with low ranks. HOWEVER, that doesn’t explain what @neverplayseriou has experienced as I’m sure we all have. You can’t even try to convince me that that is a player population problem, they had 10 people for a match and put all the unranked on one team and all the ranked on a different one. That’s complete bs.

Normally see enlarging of pool within 20-30 seconds , dunno where u get 5 mins from

In the other team there was a gold player, which got compensated by the bronze player, thus treating them same as 2 silver-something. The other 3 were 2 silver-something and 1 unranked pseudo-silver. So matching them with 5 unranked pseudo-silvers would make sense in a twisted kind of way.

Unranked are indeed counted as low-mid silver, that’s why Neverplayserious’s screenshot makes “sense”. It’s working as intended but imo unrankeds shouldn’t count as silvers
