What goes behind sky?

Can’t use caulk for the sky it seems… In my map, I have a secret room. I have been using a temporary texture that is pink and says No Image Yet on it instead of caulk, so that I can see it ingame. When my sky starting messing up, I tried caulking just those outside skybox walls (except for the inside of course, that had my sky) and it gave me still that error. Then I fixed my skybox. I knew I did this because I went into that secret room (which must be teleported to) and realized that I never caulked the outside of those walls, only the walls of the main area. The sky that had no caulk worked just fine, but the other sky that had caulk behind it created the HOM effect.

I decided to look for some sky tutorials just to double check I wasn’t doing it wrong.

I used 2bit’s tutorial… he simply applied caulk and textured the inside face with his sky, just like I had.

So what am I doing wrong, any ideas? :frowning:

p.s. I have tried hullcaulk, I heard that was meant for it to a while ago.

Edit: Never mind fixed itself, dunno how.

Next time provide us the shader. I’m glad that you got it fixed yourself. :stroggbanana: Btw. Caulk and hullcaulk are exactly same except different editorimage and name.

i disagree. you have to use hullcaulk in ASE models.

Like Sage said before : There’s absolutely no difference between caulk and caulk hull, both use the same shader, It’s only the name that is different… even when converting brushwork into ASE models.

Caul and Caulkhull are the same, they only have different textures for brush recognition purposes
