What Frustrates You During A Match?

In a public match, I can deal with players that are bad at their classes, if they can’t aim, or have the situational awareness of a potato. More often than not when I notice people not giving ammo or medpacks, they are on the low end of levels, so they’ll learn with time. I have patience for that.

Nothing frustrates me more though than not being able to successfully kick an afk player, or essentially being down one or two players (if the other team is already up by one) and having to wait another 4 minutes for them to drop while being idle because no one voted to remove them.

Tons of crap frustrates me, and most of them aren’t about bad teammates.

Thunder’s concussion grenade’s blind effect is probably the thing that frustrates me the most at the moment. It just almost always happen out of nowhere when the conc grenade isn’t even in my line of sight. Most of the time I get blinded while the enemy thunder wasn’t even targeting at me first by a conc grenade that never showed up on my screen.

There’s also very good snipers, Proxy’s mine + shot combo, Sparks instantly regenerating health, getting stomped while playing as offence, dying on repetition without being able to “play”, being longspawned, people camping mounted MGs… And I am probably missing much more.

They just waste a spot most of the time. Medic isn’t a problem to me because i’m usually the medic, for Firesupport i just move to an ammo spot, bad assaults can at least be used as a bullet sponge.

For me its most of the above. As soon as you hit lvl 3 or 4 you should be aware of the basic job of your class. I really dont care if someone has bad aim or isnt aware of general tactics on a low level. But as soon as you have around 4-5 hours in-game there is no excuse to stand still and not knowing what to do when someone spams “ammo” or “medic” and knifes you in the face. repairing the EV when there is clearly written on your screen that a faster team mate is repairing. switching to the 3rd sniper while we are attacking last objective on bridge. that drives me to dispair, because this has hardly anything to do with experience but just with not being totally oblivious to whats happening around you.

I don’t really mind when people play their class poorly, but I said “Assault” more in the vein of how well people assault, regardless of their merc. If they don’t have the awareness to position themselves smartly, and just want to run headlong into the most defended areas every single time, there’s no merc I can switch to in order to help them.

Not having a proper medic infuriates me.

So many times I’ll be down and see a medic coming and think… “oh nice, I’m about to get a res.” just to have them totally ignore me, sometimes even standing directly over me totally clueless for like 5 seconds before ultimately going somewhere else and ditching me.

You just sit there wanting to scream “JUST LOOK DOWN AND PRESS THE BUTTON!” But its too difficult a task, and yelling at stupid people won’t make them less stupid… so you just respawn.

Awareness. Not sure what it is, but people are just clueless, including “veterans.” This goes for not reviving a downed teammate just because they’re behind you, not defusing the C4 as an engineer because you think you need to keep fighting an enemy while your team is there supporting you, not dropping ammo for anyone, but yourself, not moving up when the other team is all or mostly dead, not delivering in the same regard, being oblivious to your teammate struggling to either evade or kill an enemy (people tend to just run away and not help), etc… There’s so much more.

That’s just the one thing that pushes my buttons, the major lack of awareness by so many players. This tends to be much more prominent in SA servers for me. I live in U.S. East so I stick to U.S. East, West, and SA servers. SA servers give me the best ping because they’re located in the same state. However, although they’re in the U.S., they do say SA so that brings in tons of non-english speaking people who just so happen to be clueless as well for some reason.

I’m still not even sure why this is. My guess would be tons of little kids from this region, but I’m not sure. I have a few friends that I play with from South America and they play fine. It’s just something about these servers that increases the obliviousness!

Clueless team mates are annoying, sure. But what makes me completely lose my shit are performance issues and it’s the main reason I stopped playing for nearly 2 months. Started getting into the game again last weekend, smoother framerate thanks to the old crappy anticheat being gone was nice, but then the goddamn freezes showed up again and made me hate the game once more.

I voted AFK since of the single choices, this bothers me the most, but bad team mates in general aggravate me, just people who refuse to do anything related to their role.

what frustrates me is when a team spends more time insulting each other than actually playing the game. I have ended up in some games where my team is just tearing each other apart in chat. It’s sad to see people hating each other so much that they spend all their time insulting and belittling each other. Mean while the few of us who actually want to play cannot do that well, due to having half or more of the team sitting in spawn typing.

Min lvl servers get rid of most of the bad teammates - only engineers ignoring the obj. are common.

AFK players drive me mad though - I had a game yesterday, where our team had 4 AFK, and the other team had 2, so we played 5v3 on a 7v7 server. Of course none of them was kicked.
