- ‘-heapsize’
This command determines how much memory (RAM) is allocated strictly for hl2.exe. The general agreement is that this number should reflect how much memory is installed in your system. Here is the equation:Your System Memory (In Megabytes) / 2 * 1024 = Your Heapsize
Examples:
512MB / 2 * 1024 = -heapsize 262144
1024MB / 2 * 1024 = -heapsize 524288
2048MB / 2 * 1024 = -heapsize 1048576Applying this setting will stabilize your game performance greatly - with no reduction in visual quality. Textures are better handled by the game, and the game has an increased ability to cache resources.

So it’s a PS3 issue??? Not the games?[/QUOTE]
… as I don’t have a PS3 I’m not 100% sure, but it could be a prob with the PS3-Memory or the Memory-Settings of the game, but as you had no (?) prob’s with the game before, I would say it would be more likely the console if you have not played around with the game settings inside the config / ini - files … if it would be on the server side I would reckon that the game would not completely freeze, but who knows …
Hold your PS3 power button down and restart your system. There should be no further adverse effects.
