Me too, or are you missing the bit where I mentioned I’d played all SD’s games, and when I’ve played other games it’s mostly been in their objective mode?

You probably ought to, the more people buy the game, the more servers there will be, the more choice you’ll have of where to play and when to play, and who with, and the longer the game will last, hopefully.

The Modern Warfares have demolition as an objective mode, its pulled straight from CS and R6 and it’s incredibly fun addictive.

Yeah? But you want it to be more like cod/bf/cs. Well to be honest those ****ty so called objective modes in cod/bf/cs ain’t cutting it for me. As i said i want proper objectives that include build, destroy, hack, escort, not this plant bomb and defend it like in a freaking counter strike.

Just watched black ops demolition on youtube. What can i say. 1-2 shot kills, all those stupid “double kill, streak, buzz, etc” and so called objectives just makes me laugh. As i replied to Kendle i would only call proper objectives that are in SD games, not this crap in cod/bf/cs…

Amen. What made WET and ETQW stand out from the rest is that there was real teamwork, call it even symbiosis or synergy between classes, where some jobs can only be accomplished by a particular class. I don’t want to find players running like headless chickens around an objective where the only skill you need is aim. I want strategy.

Not really, at least not in the way you’ve assumed I want it to be more like those games. You’ve just picked up on that and projected your own bias against those games on to me and then argued against me on that basis.

Have you played them? Play some BF3 clan wars and tell me they’re less team orientated than ET (clue: you won’t).

Good a way as any I guess to form an objective (excuse the pun) opinion of a game you haven’t played … oh wait !!

That’s true, for all that I love BF3 Rush, where you just won’t get anywhere without team-work, the fact remains you don’t NEED a particular class to achieve the objective, whereas in RTCW / ET you did. That is an important distinction and something I hope DirtyBomb includes.

However I’ve played games with no classes and no objectives (like Team Survivor in Urban Terror) and the team-work required to play that (properly) is insane, certainly the toughest game I’ve ever played competitively.

Agreed. To be honest, i think SD are the only ones who seem to have missed this point repeatedly over the years. Going back to RTCW you had CTF, DM, Obj/Sw along with all sorts of mod created modes (goldrush lol). So whilst I hope they make Obj/Sw the core mode for Dirty Bomb, they really need to include the other modes.

I have bf3 and I don’t like it. Atleast it was cheap.

I have tried cod mw 1 or 2 multiplayer, I knew it sucks and I hated it, but I have tried it online with my friend :smiley: I didn’t tried demolition, but why would i care about demolition when i just don’t like every damn thing about the game? Just like BF i hate modern warfare, I don’t wanna play soldier in Iraq or this terrorist bs. I liked ET’s ww2 theme or QW/BRINK futuristic approach.

RTCW MP was developed by Nerve Software. ET is still being played after 9 years, yet u claim they have failed. Haha.

W:ET was released for free - that kinda makes it a moot point - it also supported mods and had a ready made fanbase. When it came out it divided the RTCW community, if it had been a paid for expansion or standalone I doubt we would even be talking about it. Finally, I was playing RTCW last night online - Beach server no less…er haha?

Not that I play CoD, but I want to see their competitive features copied over, specifically the demo recording system and group/individual matchmaking.

ET:QW knew its stuff. BRINK, however, didn’t. :stuck_out_tongue:

Aren’t there females in the teaser? Or are those just rather slim gentlemen with some might fine pumped-up chests?

  • Fully customizable crosshairs ( size, color and look)
  • Limited ironsight usage ( long range weapons )
  • more usable lean controls
  • Objective based mods ( no Cod bull )
  • Fast melee action ( just like in ET )

Everything probably mentioned earlier , but just to have my voice heard .

i want a good mix of both smaller sized maps like wolf:et or brink and bigger sized maps with vehicular combat like in etqw.

i want the advanced movement system from brink. i want the strafe jumps from the prior titles.

i want body types.

i want 60fps.

If the smart is well implemented with manual control + strafe jump and bunny why not

Body types is a nice idea but just a big fail for me … Everyone play light so …

I want 120 FPS minimum !!! :stuck_out_tongue:

oh hai, has it been that long?

I would like to see the subtlety back that defined the great games ET and ETQW. That same subtle touch that made metagaming possible. For instance, the non-linear objective path. You could just jump over gates, cliffs, walls and through backdoors in ET and skip straight to the end objective, which was the most awesome thing to pull off back in the days. The other subtle touches like humor in ET and ETQW. I can remember spamming the chat with the strogg’s SSSSSS!!! which literally won me games as the enemy team was driven insane and logistically hampered. Also from time to time, I would reply to every voice command in ET with “no” to make my team aware of my rebellious and unconforming nature, as i saved the day by ramboíng myself to death making the enemy’s careless about our efforts to psychologically win the game by reversing the role. Other than that, great memories were made which such small elements of the game… where are the times…
