…on the character selection screen? Most of my characters have unique stances, but a couple of the stances are coupled up on more than one character. I’ve seen screenshots of other peoples’ character selection screen, and they’ve got the same stances, but they’re in a different order, so I don’t think it just depends on which character slot you’re in.
What Determines Character Stance?
i think it has to do with the archetype you pick for the base char before you modify it. i’ve used 4 separate base/archetypes for my 4 chars, and they all have a different stance…
This was brought up a month or two back, either here or on the Bethesda boards…
I think it’s based purely off of slot (ie Slot 3 is the character holding his hand up like it’s a pistol turned sideways).
But I could be way off.
my slot one, is the guy leaning over, doing the c’mon c’mon routine.
my slot 2 is the guy standing up really straight, not doing much of anything
cant remember the rest (and ther’s only 2 more…lol)

Yeah, same for me in first, then standing straight with arms out, but my third is just standing doing nothing.
I’ve also got different stances on matching archtypes, and matching stances on different archtypes. I’ve got seven or eight different stances total, I think, and I think seven different archtypes.
Its all based on 1-10, You’ll find if you delete a slot, all your guys will have a shift in stance.
I suggest you fill out all 10 and see which stance fits which fraction (S or R) and go from there.
The sad thing is if you look in the manual, they are even better and holding weapons.
What happened to that?

So, it’s not all based on slot number. It’s based on a combination of slot number and faction.
Yeah, those stances look pretty cool. I have a theory but it’s time for The Simpsons.

That’s the same order as my first six characters. Stance seven is the same as the second one, stance eight is the gangsta-finger-gun, stance nine is the same as four. Stance ten is similar to stance six, but actually while six just moves his arms a bit at the elbow, ten has his arms out a tiny bit more, and is sort of swaying on his feet.
The characters alternate between Security and Resistance. The archtypes are the same for 1 and 4, for 2 and 5, for 3 and 6, and 7, 8, 9, and 10 are all unique, if I remember correctly. I’ve only deleted characters a couple times, always the last character on the right at the time.
