Choose and say why.
What class do you use the most?
I have to say I like being the engineer. I’ve always taken a sniper’s approach to shooters. One shot one kill. I like bullet efficiency over spray and pay. So gimme a rifle or a shotgun, buff damage and watch the faces hit the floor.
the weapon buff is priceless especialy when it’s improved. I love all of the classes but there’s just not enough people who buff.
Medic usually, on my Light Skirmisher.
No one else does it really, and I can zip around and rez teammates, which is very useful and nets me mad points
Engy if we have medics, medics if we have engies.
You cannot be successful in this game without tier 2 engy buff, and you cannot be successful while dead.
I don’t see a lot of soldiers surprisingly and ammo is quite valuable on the battlefield so I dual specced medic/soldier. I mainly run medic but if need be I have a blast with soldier as well. With medic I usually go medium/light and the same goes for soldier.
No love for the solider
I like going solider and giving out ammo racks up the points crazy fast. Operative has recently been my new play style because of turret hacks. I mainly speced my engi though due to my love of them in TF2
Engineer, I love tinkering with things in real life, getting machines to do the dirty work just give me a happy feeling inside.
Soldier by far. Scavange, Molotov, Extra magazine and ammo refill in general.
Buff.
whatever is needed most i guess. my default class would be engineer but more often then not i find myself changing the class at the beginning because engineer seems overpopulated. i prefer soldier over medic because there seems to be a lack of soldiers on most servers and i believe ammo packs and molotovs are just as usefull as buffing and reviving.
Yeah I’m also sad the lack of soldier fans. I usually dual spec engineer and soldier. They are really a lot of fun. I just wish they were diverse in the objectives they could tackle. Really soldiers are good at blowing stuff up. It would be cool of they countered engineers on the ‘repair x item’ so instead of repair progress not being able to reversed that soldier’s grenades actually reversed the progress of engineered repaired items.
But as they are I <3 them cause as an offensive force once properly backed. If I have to storm a location with just one other job as an engineer my favorite is rolling with a heavy soldier. Heavies have their faults but if one thing people can agree on is you DON’T want to handle them head on. So I tag along watch their backs and keep them from getting flanked and they just march forward blowing up stuff and mowing down enemies with the weapon buffed goodness. Soldiers really are fun to play cause if people want to cluster together you just made my day. Grenade attachment on an AR means instant boom on grenades.
Medic for sure
Though I have tried to build my 1st character as a Jack of all Trades, and switch when it is needed.
Seeing as how soldier is just 1 vote higher (thanks to my vote) over operative (ATM), I now see WHY I’m such a useful soldier. My friends always use Engineers, Medics, and Operatives, and whenever I choose my Engineer class for literally 1 match, my friends rage because soldiers aren’t doing ability to resupply teammates, but themselves and lob grenades… I’m the guy that’s found the balance between the two and my teammates weapons never go thirsty.
Operative.
I just love being a sneaky snake.
Also, it seems a lot of players don’t seem to pay attention to the floor as I can throw a caltrap and people will walk over them… repetitively. My XP meter just fills itself that way. =/
[QUOTE=Waldo;306835]Operative.

Goddamnit that was YOU?
haha seriously though, the first time I ran into one of those I was like “WHO THE **** IS SHOOTING AT ME I DONT SEE ANYONE!”, and then proceeded to die.
I go with engineer, just because nobody else plays an engineer PROPERLY it seems… yeah yeah, you can go around griefing the enemy team by planting a turret at their spawn and knocking the **** out of them with your superior firepower, but I just kevlar all my heavies, buff my lights and mediums, then mine the defense objective and place a turret at the main bottleneck, and THEN run to construct all available MG nests/barricades/staircases, etc.
One balance issue though, is that if the WHOLE TEAM is engineers, the enemy team doesn’t stand a chance because I can buff my own gun and have my teammate give me an IMPROVED buff (not sure if it stacks? or just improves my current buff), we can all Kevlar each other, and there are Gatling turrets EVERYWHERE, and 16 mines scattered all around the place. ridiculous griefing.
Medic, because it’s vastly overpowered.
Secondly, engineer, because the defensive team is vastly overpowered.
Was engineer till my character got deleted.
Now its medic with my new character.
Yeah, I’m one of THOSE players… I usually get them off (with the help of a teammate), but honestly, I’m pretty sure half the time I just think I get hit by one, I didn’t realize you can step on them and pick them up till I screwed around with one. XD
