What Body Type Are You Using?

Simple question. What body type do you use most frequently, and why if you wish to give us your reasons or even weapons loadouts.

I’ve been using Light for the most part so far. I wanted to explore all of the maps fully and try out the SMART system fully. I typically use an SMG and machine pistol.

I almost never use Heavy, as I don’t like MG’s and I don’t feel the extra 20 health is a good enough replacement for the mobility lost.

I’ve played the most with Light and heavy bodies and a decent amount with medium. Light seems like the best for the sake of speed and movement when you take into account the current power of SMGs. If they’re not going to make the heavy weapons relevant or useful, they need to make the health bonuses % based vs flat numbers since those make the heavy pretty useless compared to an equally buffed light or medium body.

Im using medium with SMG and Sniper. I like the compromise of speed, parkour-ness and health. A good all-rounder i think

I’m a medium junky. Love my AR w/ launcher, moderate speed. I’ve found only a few spots a light can get to that I can’t (and I can usually find an alternate path), although the first part of shipyard is a very happy place to be a light on offense.

A friend who got the game on my recommendation is pretty addicted to his heavy engy - with a bit of support, he’s insanely good at deciding some chunk of the map is now his and defending his claim to ownership. Since I’m big on support when I’m not leveling one of my specialist builds, it works out pretty well.

medium as a soldier, light as an operative

Can’t live without light… Medium can’t vault and it bugs the crap out of me, and heavy is to slow… I love light.

Medium most of the time, I do like going heavy if I plan on playing a engi for most of a game and light medic can be good for getting to team mates and the health buff helps make up for the loss of health.

I initially thought I would gravitate towards the heavy body type as a soldier (I’m a sucker for LMGs, and only a heavy can use them), but after playing with all the heavy-only weapons, I’m left disappointed. The Chinzor and Gotlung are more for CQC, and cannot be accurate outside of that close range. That’s not really my cup 'o tea. So, the Maximus naturally would be the better fit, but it’s lack of attachment options and accuracy is a let down (I personally feel like it should have the front grip attachment to help differentiate it from the other big guns. Right now it just feels underwhelming.).

Beyond the first shot from the Maximus the bullets start to spread, making it more difficult to use at range than you would think. Any automatic AR is just as, if not more accurate (absolutely more accurate in the case of the Gerund), meaning any medium with an AR could gun down a heavy wielding the Maximus at medium-long range without too much trouble. I definitely appreciate the bonus health a heavy comes with, but they just don’t feel deadly or fearsome enough to warrant playing as one. I’m sure there are specific situations where they can be pretty useful, but for the most part it seems you’re better off playing as a different body type.

Research 101, don´t give people an escape route if asking for preferences.

After playing med/light a good bit (several hours) and painfully playing heavy for 2 maps. I exclusively use light and there really isn’t a good enough reason why I should use anything else. Pistols are more accurate than SMGs and SMGs are better than ARs. Let’s not forget running circles around people with the knife.

there’s no reason to use any of the heavy guns so unless you’re desperate to go shotgun/gerund then medium is where it’s at. light is ok too i guess if you enjoy not using the best gun in the game.

Medium body type for me. Haven’t bothered to go for the anorexic or the obese, trying to promote healthy living here lol. [ducks shots]

Have you scrimmed at all with your beloved gerund? :stuck_out_tongue:
